Ground Surge Protector 6 Cord Apc

Purchased my 2nd APC Surge protector and they work good

Needed a surge protector with long cord and close clearance plug. B&H had exactly what I needed. Cord is heavy duty. White color provides a clean look in the office.

I like the spacing on the outlets, the dust covers are a top-notch feature, and the beautiful and easy-to-tell protection LED ridge is absolutely fantastic design. I went to a lot of trouble to find this specific surge protector after seeing a youtube test where they evaluated several different models with actual spikes to see which really worked, and which were frauds. My prior surge protector (a no-name from home depot) had a ground pin that wasn't even connected to the actual outlet ground, and was in effect a ground cheat. I feel a lot better having an electrically sound and well made device.

My APC 1500 surge protector with battery backup went defective. Self check test showed battery failure. Rather than replacing the entire expensive backup, I merely ordered this #124 replacement battery and replaced the original one for allot less cost. It now works good as new. Simply, side the old battery out and slide in the new one and that's it. I did not know replacement APC batteries were available until re-reading the APC instructions and by APC web site research.

We started out by buying a APC surge protector for our computer. It worked great so we purchased another for our entertainment center with a lot of expensive equipment plugged into it. We had electrical storms & never lost any equipment. Support for help is excellent. We will always use APC surge protectors.

Honestly, how do you test a surge protector without putting equipment at risk? I've owned a few APC products and they have never let me down so I'm sort of trusting this one will work without fault too.
