Shielding is the best there is. Wire gauge is as big as any I've found. Need I say more?

These work great, I'd recommend using 2 notches higher than the wire gauge your using or you'll be slicing wire along with the casing but otherwise these are great.

Bought this to replace the wire that came with the surround system I purchased and they're perfect. Came with 22 gauge wire, this was just what I needed.

Nice heavy gauge wire so it doesn't feel as cheaply made as some I have owned in the past. It works well on my 7D. The one thing I didn't like is that plugging it into the camera at a horizontal angle versus a vertical angle where the cable will hang straight down.
