I bought this mic mostly for voice recording, but it also sounds great with my acoustic guitar.

We use it for acoustic guitar, and video voice overs. Clean, sensitive, pleasing.

I got this to do voice overs on a video, but have also used it to record guitar and vocals. The sound quality has blown me away. I've used the mic with OSX and Ubuntu and it has been truly plug and play with both. I have had 0 latency while recording additional tracks when using the 1/8th inch headphone out on the mic. The only downside is that the knobs seem a little flimsy compared to the incredibly stout build of the mic itself.

I'm a new owner of the H5 and this product is better than I had hoped. I primarily will record acoustic voice and guitar. I've found the on-board mics are amazingly good and I may not need to add an external mic (though I'll be doing some tests to confirm that) since I can get a nice balanced voice/guitar mix just by setting the recorder about two feet in front of the guitar soundhole and mic levels to about 6.5. Amazing. Recorder position in the room is really critical. If I move away from the mics, I get more of the room sound, meaning reverb/echo/reflections. Easy experimenting to find the right spot for the sound you want. I suggest a small tripod, makes recorder placement all that much easier. I haven't yet played with the overdubbing feature but I'm looking forward to that.

Good microphone set for recording guitar and voice. The AT2020 is a little on the heavy side so, if you use a boom microphone stand, be sure it's a good quality stand that can support it.

I bought two - one for my daughter recording herself on guitar, keyboard and vocals, and one for myself for voice and narration work for video productions. Very happy with the flexibility it affords, and the excellent sound quality - even right out of the box with minimal tweaking.  It was a Black Friday special that Im very happy I bought.
