I sing and play acoustic guitar. I use this to mount a Tascam DR-40 to my vocal mic stand. I can plug my�sure-sm57 into the back for recording vocals, then position the height of the bracket to line up with the DR-40 internal mics for recording the guitar part.� .

It is stable standing on the floor. It is good to use it when you sing and play guitar, for example, wtih a microphone pointing to your mouth. I will use it when playing clarinet with a microphne on the stand and pointing to my clarinet.
