wind still gets in but you get what you pay for (hi gust mostly only)

This tripod does all that you would expect from Gitzo. I know longer worry when a wind gust comes up while using my long lenses.

I usually keep this on my NTG anytime I'm using it on a boom or my camera. Never know when a gust of wind it going to come up. It works great, easy to put on. Just slip it over the NTG wind screen.

The flashback has already saved my light so many times! Just the other day a huge gust of wind came in and even though my stand was strapped to my little wagon it still pushed my light over and it came crashing down on the flashback from 7 ft in the air on pavers!!! If I didn't have the flashback on my ad200 it would have shattered! Best investment ever!

I bought this because my articulated arm broke off from a gust of wind and I love it. As a portrait photographer, having a reflector is integral in shooting outside in natural light. Having an extra set of arms is great! I use this almost every day with great results. Highly recommended.

A sudden gust of wind blew over my tripod and sent my last camera, only 1 year old, crashing to the ground rendering it inoperable. Unfortunately it is too costly to fix nor do I have any insurance on it. It's not only the cost of the camera that I lost but also the investment in time getting to know my camera. In my opinion, it's well worth it to protect my investment.

The SM57 is an instrumental mic but it still works great as an interview mic as well for videos.
