I have four tied to ladders on a ladder rack on top of the van. For being a gypsy, you know? This morning, I tried to use tie-downs on a 1610, but it wouldn't work because the 1650NF has handles, and the 1610 does not. Well, I forgot that the 1610 was still on the roof when I went for a drive, and lo and behold, it stayed on top of the roof for 3 miles down the road, but when I hung a left turn at 35mph, the 1610 flew off the roof onto the pavement. Nobody hurt, and neither was the 1610! But get a 1650, and this will never happen to you. Can't beat 'em with a stick! (The 1610 was still empty as nothing was in it yet.) 5 |
