Not sure why, but when purchasing a Sachtler Flowtech tripod, B&H recommends the Short Half Ball (shorter version of this Half Ball). However the Flowtech legs are so thick you won't be able to turn the shorter post. You will absolutely need this version with the longer post. Meanwhile it works great. Just what a Half Ball should do. 5 |

Exact replacement ordered one from some where else for less money came in a mailing bag no box and different righting all Japanese did say Pentax and something rattled around in side. Will stay with B&H. Thank B&H 5 |

Picked up the 11-24 at the Post Office; took few shots of the steering wheel; and drove right into the Talkeetna mountains. Having used fisheyes for year I thought I would know what to do with an 11mm rectilinear...but this lens is different. My instant favorite lens for off-trail Alaska landscapes. Image quality and sharpness are excellent. Distortion is very low. Makes incredible panoramas that don't look stretched out. Heavy...but it's also a 20, 17, 14,13 and 12mm! Once in my hands weight doesn't matter! Use the 11mm most but love the zoom! 5 |
