Hammer Action Midi Controllers

The Hammer 88 is a no frills MIDI controller with a nice weighted action. Construction seems solid. A pretty good buy for the price.

I had the Keylab61 MKII, but needed the hammer-action keys for orchestral arrangments, and just because I like the feel of a real piano. I read reviews that said the action is heavy, it is, but not in a bad way. Most real pianos I have played have a heavier action so maybe I am used to it. Connectivity: Yeah, it's amazing with Cubase. I found a script online and I was off to the races. I open up the MIDI control center and adjust some user defined MIDI CC presets for a lot of my orchestral VST's, and easy peasy. Build Quality: The Komplete Kontrol everyone hems and haws about is plastic and more expensive, it also doesn't integrate as well as they would like you to believe. This thing is metal, and beautiful with wood accents. No, you don't get a big LCD screen, like I need another screen, I have two 32 screens already. Bottom line, if you want something that you can feel expressive on, has all the MIDI sliders and knobs you need to fiddle about, or make your orchestral arrangements sound more realistic, this is it. I love my Arturia. They are like teenage engineering but affordable.

One of the best midi controllers I have ever used. I am able to control my euro rack to my computer and everything in between. Awesome

I am just getting into MIDI. I'd heard great things about the Nektar MIDI controllers and I was particularly interested because they come with specific setup protocols for individual DAWS. I'm a reaper user and the Impact L25+ mated perfectly with it. Great value and a lot of capabilities for 99 bucks.

First, I have long admired Midi Controllers, Keyboards, Effects, and everything associated with digital music creation. There are several reviews out there by amazing creators with more detailed information, but after watching all of them, then pulling the trigger on this one, it was worth it. The build quality is nice, the feel of the pads is premium, and adjustments are quickly made. Plug and play, for the most part, depending on the DAV or website software you use. If you are looking for a little larger keyboard/Midi controller, this one should be at the top of your list, and it's only $60 more (at the time of writing this) than the AKAI MPK Mini, so what's stopping you?

I bought this tape to label controls on MIDI controllers and I/O's on my audio interface. It keeps everything organized so when someone other than my self is looking an input or output they can find it easily. The tape is bright enough that if something is written on it it can be read in dim lighting. It's also strong enough to hold something down or secure something in a position so it doesn't fall.

My workstation is cluttered with USB devices, from keyboard/mouse to MIDI controllers. I needed a way to connect a MIDI keyboard controller further away from my computer, so I purchased this extension cable. Has been working great, no problems at all.

Perfect for the slimline MIDI Controllers and working into tight spots in your set up, as a drummer, percussionist, or keyboardist.

I’ve used a bunch of midi controllers and cables in recent years but I’m really enamoured with the flexibility from this wireless midi control. I use this with a P-95 and my iPad (haven’t tried with my laptop) and it’s been an ideal set up. Highly recommend!

This is the only budget DP which provides proper hammer response and repetitive notes (trills). comparison: Kawai RHC action - proper hammer response but no repetitiveness Casio Scaled Hammer Action - modified hammer response Roland PHA-4 action - no hammer response at all Yamaha GHS action - no hammer response at all, no repetitiveness
