A really nice start to my racing simulator. Pricey, but justified by quality. 5 |

I have a racing simulator and run iRacing from my gaming laptop but my HDMI cables were too short to get the laptop in the right position so that I can access it while in the simulator. This cable is perfect and very fast. It's shielded nicely and built well and I highly recommend it! [i received this product in exchange for my honest opinion] 5 |

Adds a new level of interactivity to racing and driving games that greatly enhances immersion and enjoyment. I have driven automatic cars my whole life, but for playing racing games or Truck Simulator I really like having the added control and activity that manually switching gears provides. Feel more like a racer or a trucker. Quality is great, feels heavy and solid and mostly metal. Mounted perfectly to my wheelstand pro with RGS upgrade. Quality and functionality-wise I've had no issues with this shifter, it recognized automatically in Forza Horizon 5 without any configuration at all, and was very easy to configure in Truck Simulator with an SKRS truck shifter knob on it. You do need to install a software driver when you first set it up in order for it to work correctly, but it's very simple setup. It is expensive for what it is, but I don't regret the purchase at all because of how much it has changed the way I play pretty much any driving/racing game. After getting this, my setup feels complete. Just a note on the seller: I never ordered anything from B&H before but I was impressed with the quick order processing and shipping. I ordered the product later in the evening of Dec. 12, and received the product morning of Dec. 15. Good experience, I'd buy from B&H again. 5 |

This is perfect if you want to use a monitor with a racing simulator setup (as in a chair setup you wheel over to your desk), but also wish to use it at your desk like a normal display. The reach and steadiness of the arm is beyond reproach: even perched at an extreme angle with a DD wheel setup vibrating nonstop, this holds steady. 5 |

Using for DSLR rig. Love the drag controls and how they do not interfere with movement in progress. Solid contruction and feel. A very good choice for a medium-duty tripod. 5 |

IMO, this is the best fluid video head with drag adjustable controls for dslrs. I purchased this to replace the tripod head of my Benro tripod, because I want to start shooting videos. It has a flat base so it worked nicely with my Benro tripod. Other reviewers have complained about a creaking sound from the vertical drag adjustment knob not in mine, though. I guess they have corrected this issue now. The only complaint I have is: I can't use my tripod anymore for taking vertical still photos. I wish they come up with some kind of L support that will fit this model. Overall, though, this video head meets my expectations. 5 |

Was going to buy a $400 Manfrotto product, but saw this in B&H's store and decided to go the extra bucks. So far, this is a great tripod. It's smooth, and the Counterbalance is a fantastic feature. Put the camera on the head, balance it by moving the plate, set the counterbalance and the darn thing stays at whaatever angle you leave it without messing with the drag controls. That means you can use the drag controls to actually control your movement, instead of using them to set the balance. About time someone made that easy for us non-tripod experts. The mid-level spreader instructions are confusing. It says to turn the moulding. However, their idea of a moulding is actually the roundish center piece in the spreader. Once I figured that out, it was a snap. A side note, on Vinten's website, there's a link to Ask Pete who is the Vinten Blue product manager. I emailed him on Friday afternoon (which wouild be Friday nigh in England) and had a response waiting on my computer Saturday morning. IOW, Vinten people check their company emmail over the weekend. Pete helped me figure out the spreader adjustment. Kudos to Pete & Vinten for such a high level of customer service. Don't put your expensive camera on a cheap tripod - this is definitely worth the investment! 5 |
