Handycam Vs Digital Camera

My SONY Digital Handycam needed replacement batteries, and so I contacted SONY for help. They told me that the camera was too old and not supported. So instead I went to B&H and found the Watson batteries that replace SONY NP-50's. I ordered them and like Lazeras returning fromm the dead, my camera came back to life, and for a reasonable price.

Needed this cable to convert my old video8 cassettes to digital from the handycam to back up computer storage. . As always, B&H to the rescue! Online chat agent quickly narrowed down what I needed and the cable arrived within a few days! Best of all, it cost under $3!! This is why B&H is ALWAYS the first place I go! Purchased to convert old Handycam video8 tapes via rca jacks to digital. Easy and provided better images than other similar converters I've tried. Recommended for vcr or tape Camcorder to digital.

I recently purchased a Sony Handycam DCR-SR68 for our Truckee Optimist Club. The handycam came without a protective filter for the lense. The filter I bought fit perfextly, and I am sure that it will give us many years of good service.

I use it as a back up for my digital camera.

I recommend this for everyone with a Handycam. Let's face it, you need a case; you can't carry your camera in your pocket and you don't want to leave it at Aunt Martha's for the dog to chew on. This is a small holster made with Sony's incredible fabric which holds the camera and a FV100 battery. The main zipper is a set of two so you can latch them with a tie for security when you put this on your backback or on your belt (it has a belt loop). Inside this case my camera fell out of my car several times with no effect. The straps are not detachable and are quite long; great to hang the camera on a hook in a closet. They will fit inside the case with the camera when not needed. And the price? Come on. Check the camera shops and you'll see this is a bargin.

The product is used in conjunction with a Sony Handycam. I have found it much easier (and quicker) to connect the camera to a TV via this item & copy it directly to a DVD rather than connecting the camera to a computer, downloading the video, then burning a copy to a DVD.

I have had my Sony Handycam for about two years now, and am just starting to need to have a backup battery. I have used this camera a LOT since 2020 and the battery has lasted well. It is still not on it's last legs, but I need a new one - Just In Case!

I have a Handycam DV tape camera, and for years I have tried periodically to transfer tapes to my computer. I'm fairly adept at solving these kinds of problems, but I guess I had lost the similar cable that came with the camera (if one was included). I tried to use the iLink but it wouldn't work with my Mac. In fact, way I finally was able to transfer from my camera to the Mac was to go from camera to VHS player with this tape, and then from the VHS player to the computer with the Roxio VHS to DVD (for Mac) cable/software. There may be a better way, but now I finally have a solution!
