Harbor Freight Surveillance Camera Review

This does fit with the knock off Harbor Freight version. 5 |

Hey, I know you can get cheap suction cups at Harbor Freight. I've done that. But then you waste time (and risk damage to underlying surface) in trying to tie stuff on to them. What you really need isthis. It's articulated, strong, and has the very stud you need for mounting virtually anything. As photos of these in use indicate, you want more than one. CLEAN the surface to near sterile before using on auto paint and monitor suction and you're golden. 5 |

I have a Harbor Freight Pelican look alike case. Whether you get the Pelican or the Apache (Harbor Freight brand) Case, the pick and pluck foam is terrible. It's really ok if you used it, broke it down and used a shipping material. The Trekpak is fully customizable and allows a bit more space in your case to store your belonings. Pretty intuitive but also instructions in YouTube to make it easy to use. Although a bit on the more expensive side, I will have to get for my other cases. It's totally worth it. 5 |

Yeah you could go to Harbor Freight and get a knockoff, but why? I had a Pelican with about $2K in gear inside fall out of my kayak when it tipped (due to waves from a sudden wind squall) and it just floated. Everything was dry inside. 5 |

In the past I usually went with the cheaper Harbor Freight cases, but went for the genuine Pelican for my recent kit. I can only say good things about the 1535 air. I think the most noteworthy is the weight and size for travel. I do wish that the foam had two levels of height for shorter items, but I was able to cut some foam to work as needed. So far the foam is holding up and not flaking or shedding. If you are looking to save money with a knock off...don't. 5 |

The A-MoDe Lid Organizer for Pelican 1510. I am actually using this on a Apache 5800 from Harbor Freight. I needed slightly fatter screws but it's working perfectly. Apply included adhesive tape to lid then attach organizer backer and screw in firmly. This holds my laptop and tablet with ease. Loops on front make cables and accessories easy to see and access. Laptop case and cable bag are held in place with velcro so you can remove or change orientation. I am very pleased so far and would recommend. 5 |

This is exactly what I needed to get my old surveillance camera back up and running. Thanks. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This camera is used as surveillance on a shed with four wheelers and dirt bikes in it. WiFi from the house doesn't reach so what a great alternative! Pictures are clear and notifications are great! With the solar power it should never need a charge! Setup was super easy on app. Great product!! 5 |

Here's my review of 2008: My review of 11/17/2007 you can go back and read. I just ordered another 700DX to take down and leave in my new vacation home in Mexico.I now have 4 of them and still use them all. I have noticed some reviewers complain about the bag. My first 700DX I have always carried in the bag (still use it for all my out-of-country)and have never had a rip or tear or anything go wrong with the bag - so don't be concerned about the bag - it will hold up to just about anything and protect your tripod - except maybe a freight train running over it. Bottom line: There are 50 reviewers on this site - they all love it.NOW MY REVIEW OF 2010. A freight train didn't run over the last DX700 I purchased but last weekend my wife's Prius did run over it. Perhaps I can find two legs somewhere or use it for parts (which none of the remaining 3 I own will ever need. One thing that I have found I do not care for in this tripod is the round camera mount as when you go vertical with a heavy lens it sags down. So I read one reviewers thoughts on this site and he recommended the 500DX as it has a square camera mount. So I just purchased the 500DX. Still have 3 700DX's however. 5 |

I'm using it for concerts, where it improves footage that previously looked more like a surveillance camera! 5 |
