I just added the WD 4TB Elements External Desktop Hard Disk Drive to my� back up solution (6 hard drives) and Windows 10.� I disconnected the power and USB cable from a full WD hard drive and replaced it with this new drive and fired it up. It works great, just like I would expect from Western Digital. 5 |

I had a 6-year-old desktop with a regular (legacy) hard disk drive. The desktop was painfully slow when doing anything. After installing the SSD, the desktop instantly sprang to life. It's like a brand-new computer. If anyone has a slow computer, and it has a legacy hard disk, pop an SSD in and you will be amazed by the performance difference. 5 |

Replaced the regular boot drive in my desktop. I cloned the drive. Placed the new disk in the desktop, and it booted as if nothing had changed! Nice thing is, it boots much faster, and I don't hear the drive spin up noise like the original disk used to do. 5 |
