Hard Restore Logic Board Usb Flash Drive

The Case Logic 6-capacity USB flash drive case is padded, which protects ones USB drives when transporting them. It's light weight and has six mesh elastic webs inside to secure the USB drives. Its small size makes it easy to include in a roll aboard suitcase or back pack.

You can open it and pull the hard drive out with bare hands, 2 screws holding the sata converter board. Inside is a WD White label drive. You can put another drive in the enclosure only if you flash the sata to usb board firmware. Short circuit the winbond chip on pins 1 and 2 (1 marked with a dot) while powering it on to get into flash mode, there is a flash tool and firmware on the internet. You can actually edit the firmware with a hex editor and change the manufacturer, product name, ids etc, good fun. It's using a JMicron chip.

I have two computers to back up and I wanted space to do a system image and a backup of specific files. That way I could restore the whole system if the hard drive went bad, or I could just restore a specific file if the file went bad. This hard drive has the space to do that for both of my computers. And the cost is the lowest anywhere. The drive is small and fits perfectly in my safe. Very happy. Thank you.

I am very satisfied with this product. I was a bit concerned buying a case without seeing how well it fit my hard drive. Well, it fit my� Seagate 2tb Backup Plus Slim Portable External Usb 3.0 Hard Drive (also purchased from B&H) perfectly like they were made for eachother. This is a hard shell case, so it offers excellent protection. I purchased Case Logic because, I got my laptop case from them and this hard drive case is a match. Case Logic makes excellent products at an excellent price. I highly recommend their products. B&H had the best price and the delivery was prompt. It was a pleasure doing business with them.

I have several Case Logic hard drive cases that are the same price and are made well. This Oyen case is in another league though. It's thicker that I expected, but that just means it can hold two external drives pklus a cable easily. It's sides are harder and offer better protection too. The zipper seems good, and the storage pockets mean my hard drives don't bang against each other.

If every product could provide the functional efficiency that Drive Logic provided in their DL-64 Portable Hard Drive Case, I would spend less time researching items on the web and enjoying them more. The DL-64 does exactly what it is supposed to do: provide protection for a portable HD at a reasonable price. The case is hard enough to do this plus it has room inside for cabling, as well as sleeves inside and out. The zipper is large enough to grab to zip/unzip. Keep up the good work!

Update can be done without old CPU with USB flash drive only.

We are using a flash drive to store and playback videos on a portable projector. I tried with a USB 3.0 Flash Drive, thinking the newer version was better. But the projector had a different idea. I learned from the professionals at B+H that this unit requires an older USB 2.0 Flash Drive. I never would have thought of that but sure enough, when I used this Verbatim 64G Ergo USB 2.0, the projector recognized the videos and played them flawlessly.

Successfully converts USB-C to USB. I use this for my external hard drive.
