Hasselblad Phocus Camera Compatibility

The introduction of the Hasselblad X1D and the initial 3 lens lineup, is a game changer for medium format photography. The 30mm XCD (24mm in 35mm DSLR equivalent) is the widest lens in the current lineup. It's diminutive in Medium Format terms. But a bit bulkier than the 45mm and 90mm lenses. The lens balances well with the X1D body. Images are very sharp across the frame. Minimal vignetting. The lens is also compatible with Hasselblad's free Phocus 3 software. That means when an image is loaded into focus from the X1D, all the lens corrections, CA, Vignetting, color shifts, will be automatically performed by Phocus. This is a great wide angle lens, with great IQ. i'm looking forward to Hasselblad's next release for the X1D. A telephoto would be nice.

Hasselblad should be ashamed of itself for making this plate necessary for Arca Swiss compatibility with the tripod collar on the 135/2.8 with 1.7 extender.

If you have the 907x I would say its a must for the optimal compact kit. And its cheap so why not. Not as sharp as a leica sl prime, but, who cares its on par with a high end M lens (for sharpness). Overall the imaging from this lens is great, no complaints. Fantastic lens correction in post with hasselblad Phocus software. And Phocus is easy to use.

Compared to 2 alternative batteries for my OMD camera bodies, I have to recommend the original Olympus BLN-1 battery...to be 100% sure of the compatibility as well as the life and fit. Wasabi's batteries and charger are both convenient and in my experience reliable, though shorter lived than the original Oly's. The Kastar alternative battery even better, but upon delivery was obviously a risk and an inconvenience, due to the slight oversize dimensions that cause it not to slide in....and out...easily. Fearing it may need to be pried out somehow and not wanting to force it all the way in; I decided to return them immediately. For full run on a charge and insured compatibility, I'd say pay up for an Olympus OEM.
