Having Trouble Connecting To Wifi On Laptop Computer

I normally have an aversion to connecting any computer gizmo through a third gizmo; this is just asking for trouble. But seeing the positive reviews for the Sonnet products I thought I would give this a try to save my RME pro audio HDSPe AIO cards $900 + investment, since I was purchasing a new Mac with no PCI slots. Bottom line: it was pretty much load, plug and play. The card was instantly recognized and works perfectly with Logic 10+ on High Sierra. I was also able to daisy-chain a USB-C SSD drive from the second port without interference or performance loss.� There is a little bit of fan noise, always the bane of a studio owner, but less than many other devices here.

Had difficulty connecting to the wifi extender with my phone through the app. Easier to set up using a laptop. Instructions were prompted upon joining the wifi extender’s wifi network and the rest is history.

This has worked well with my laptop. The only trouble I have is that, in some situations, sound periodically skips for about a half second but I believe that is an issue with the installation (computer or driver).

I was without WiFi on my laptop for 3 months at home, but it worked at our computer tech’s office. He told me to try a WiFi USB adapter, but the cheap one I bought did not work at all. I got the Netgear AC600 despite it costing over three times as much as the cheap one, and it is well worth the price.
