Hazardous Area Digital Camera

I like to use these UV filters on my lenses when I take my camera out into potentially hazardous environments. Some might say that adding another layer of glass to a lens could affect image quality - I have yet to see any degradation in any of the images I shot with this UV filter on my lens. I believe only pixel peepers would notice a big difference. If IQ is such a concern, remove the filter before taking a shot. It's cheap insurance. I learned the hard way after ruining an expensive lens when an unexpected gust of wind kicked up some debris and effectively sandblasted my lens. Don't let this happen to you!

I use this bag every day as a handbag/camera bag. It gives me more room than the Pola or the Digital Hadley, and the front pockets are especially convenient for items I need to keep handy (keys, wallet). My G11 is well protected, and I use another divider so I've got an area just for my iPhone with an open area in the middle of the bag for whatever. As with my other Billingham bags, this one is well made and attractive, and doesn't necessarily look like a camera bag. There's room for plenty of accessories if I choose to carry them and use it more for a camera bag.

I am the Hazardous Waste Tech. for the City of Spokane Solid Waste Management. One of my responsibilities is to identify hazardous things around us in the work place, and as I was sitting at my desk working on a project, I noticed my key board was disgusting so I reached for the Canned Air on my shelf to give it a blast and in the time it took to reach about two feet to retrieve it I thought, what is this stuff? I turned it around to look at what it contained and found, 1,1Difluorethane (HFC-152a) refrigerant with a bitterant added to help stop kids from huffing it. Wow! This should be really good to spray in a closed environment and usually very close to you! I started immediately looking for an alternative and found the Giottos medium and large Rocket Air Blasters. I purchased five of them to use in a pilot and everyone loved them so now, that is all we use. An added bonus was a savings (after first year) of $500.00, no recycling of pressure cans and their sustainable.

Just got into B&W printing from digital this seems like the standard binder used in the area. So far no complaints and seems highly durable and discrete.

I love this camera it is the best of the best for a digital camera.

This unit is an addition for my existing unit, I still have an opening for another camera, for the other area we would monitor.
