Hd 280 Pro Headphones Review

I replaced the cracking headband on my HD 280 Pro headphones with this one from Sennheiser. It's a perfect fit and easy to install (package has instructions). 5 |

Driving three Sennheiser headphones (2x HD 212 Pro and 1x HD 280 Pro) at the same time - from a 302 mixer by SD - never went above a 9 o'clock setting on the output controls. The XLR line inputs are great! The options of 3.5mm or 1/4 input (headphone-wise) makes it very flexible. The battery life is excellent: 4 days in a row of continuous location shooting before having to change them. Can't beat that! ...and there is lots of Ooomph on all outputs 5 |

While this replacement part is advertised by Sennheiser as only for the newer version of Sennheiser HD 280 Pro released since 2016, it fit great my older Sennheiser HD 280 Pro headphones bought around 2013. It doesn't seem like the replacement part for pre-2016 headphones is readily available, so I'd say just go with this. There are off-brand replacement pads available online, but I question their quality - the original pads served me well so I hope these original Sennheiser ones will too. 5 |

I rate this set on price and value. The HD 280's are a great deal. Extremely versatile, nice fit over ear, good range, great for editing (video), and great feel. Not the best top of the line headphones, BUT considering that you can spend $$to get an extremely versatile and great set of headphones that will do the job WELL, I would recommend them. You will not be sacrificing quality for a low price. Good deal. 5 |

Unlike other ear pads that I was considering for my Sennheiser HD 280 Headphones, these Auray ear pads were fairly easy to install since the material that attaches to the headphone is a little stretchy. The stock ear pads from Sennheiser are probably more difficult to install since they are less stretchy. The leather seems to be of good quality and feels good. The level of sound isolation is at least as good as the original ear pads. 5 |

I use headphones to listen to TV or music while I work on my computer, and the Sennheiser HD 280 Pro have great sound reproduction, along with passive noise cancelling to block out external sounds like noisy neighbors. I've worn out a couple of these headphones because I wear them a lot, and the sound quality is very satisfying. 5 |

My new Sennheiser HD 280 headphones are great! They are a quality product, very comfortable, and have great sound qualities. The base is great and the price was very satisfying. 5 |

I am a musician working in a symphony orchestra. This is the second HD 280 pro I purchased and I am very happy with it. I bought my first one long time ago when it just came out. It broke because someone in the house accidentally stepped on it, and snap the plastic on the head band linkage. I replaced with a pair of Sony MDR 7506 based on the reviews. I feel that the 7506 is comfortable to wear but not necessarily comfortable to listen to. Its lower treble band stands out to a degree that I can't bear to turn up the headphone to a realistic volume. 7506 made me miss the Sennheisser sound. I purchased a pair of HD 650 afterwards, hooked it up with my stereo system through a Musical Fidelity X can v3. The 7506 was hooked up with my desktop through an audioengine D1 dac. I compare this new version of HD 280 pro with the MDR 7506 through the audioengine D1, I think it still has the Senheisser house sound that I like. The timbre just feels right. I am very glad about my decision of this purchase. 5 |

I also ordered the Sennheiser HD 280 Pro and ended up liking the Audio-Technica ATH-M30, better. 5 |

I listen to lots of videos and interviews and the quality and comfort of the HD 280 Pro is most helpful. 5 |
