The cable is used with my Sony VCT 1170RM tripod remote equipped with Lanc plug. My old Sony videocam CX700 with AV/D socket. In this case the tripod's remote is no longer to use again. I bought this along with the Libec LANC/AV adapter cable so I could use it with my Sony NX30U which doesn't come with LANC input. It is the smoothest, most controlled zoom I've ever used.

I bought this cable for my Sony FS700 to talk to my Convergent Design Odyssey7Q, because Convergent Design recommends using an HD-SDI rated cable. I like the connectors on it. They're sturdy like you would expect from any BNC cable, but they're also quite short. In other words, you don't have to worry about 2 inches of metal at the end of your cable making it difficult to twist your monitor around to a position where your director can see it when you're on location and losing the light. I haven't had it for long, so can't comment with much reliability on the durability, except to say that it seems solidly built.

Used the HD-SDI cable for connecting our new Sony EVI-H100S PTZ cameras. Cable pulled great through conduit, just make sure you protect the BNC connectors while pulling.
