I had several internal drives that I salvaged from an old PC. I was searching for an affordable way to make use of them. This enclosure provided a simple, affordable solution to my problem. The unit arrived in pristine condition in a factory sealed box. The manufacturer included a power adapter, a SATA 3 data cable, two sets of screws and a small screwdriver. I had a 2TB HDD up and running in my case in about 10 minutes which included time to unpack the drive and review the enclosed pamphlet To use the enclosure for multiple HDD's (one at a time), simply open the case, insert a drive making sure that you connect the drive to the receptacle in the case, close it and connect the power adapter and the data cable. If you plan to install a drive permanently or move the drive frequently, use four of the enclosed screws to hold the HDD in position to prevent the drive from becoming disconnected.

This adapter allows a 2.5 SSD to be mounted in a slot for a 3.5 HDD. It is a solid piece of metal, and the mounting holes are precise.

I recently wanted to install a SSD in to the regular SATA HDD drive in my desktop using a SSD to HDD socket adapter. When researching for the compatible SATA 3 SSDs in the market, I found the PNY CS900. Installation was easy and it fits most adapters (I tried in on 3). But the best feature is the price! Definite buy!

This adapter was invaluable in migrating over my HDD to a SSD. It works really well for both the SSD and with a 2.5" HDD hooked up to it. I didn't have any issues powering the HDD through USB on it (like another reviewer did), so it likely should be fine for most laptop drives.

Firstly I want to say that I am beyond impressed with the response time, and shipping time of B and H. This exact same product on another major retail website, that takes its name from the world's longest river ;) was going to take over a month to get to me. I bought this product on B and H (for the exact same price!) and had it in TWO DAYS! The product itself is also a great buy. If you are not looking for something that is enterprise level then this Synology server is ideal. It is a great home server to have on-prem or even off-prem to help with your personal cloud storage needs. I personally got two 2TB drives with it from SeaGate and so far the setup is working flawlessly. This does have an option for a 2.5 inch drive to be installed but you need to purchase a special adapter that doesn't come with this product. If you purchased that adapter then you could have a 3.5 inch HDD on the bottom rack and a 2.5 SSD or HDD on the top rack.

I just replaced my 5400rpm 120GB dedicated windows HDD. USB adapter is not included for easier cloning so I just installed initially as a extra F: drive to clone and then I just switched cables to be detected as C: After additional Windows optimizations for a SSD drive, my 2003 pc 4GB Ram DualCore CPU it is working fast as expected. Before I have some annoying delays on some applications that are much better now.

This is a highly rated SSD at a very good price. It was delivered very promptly. The drive comes with good cloning software that's easy to use. After moving my data off my HDD, I cloned my OS onto this drive, formatted the HDD, & moved my data back. While I was able to make the included adapter work, it took some doing as the adapter's screw holes didn't all align w/ my computer's hard drive cage. All-in-all, an inexpensive way to give your computer a significant speed boost.

I put this in my 21.5” 2019 iMac using a Sintech adapter and it’s obviously a huge improvement over the stock Fusion drive (24GB custom NVMe drive paired with a 1TB 5400 2.5” HDD). Note that an NVMe drive is only compatible with iMacs that originally came with a Fusion drive. Also if you replace the HDD with a SATA SSD (which I did as well), you can’t combine it with this NVMe drive into a Fusion drive, so you’ll have 2 separate logical drives to work with. Finally, the iMac disassembly and install is ridiculously complex. But for me it’s worth it, and running beautifully so far.
