Hdmi Port In Sony Tv

I needed it to be able to plug multiple HDMI devices into my older Sony TV that had only one port. This thing is awesome. No power required.

I use it to connect my Surface Pro 7 (without HDMI port) with a TV, and works OK.

I would also like an HDMI port

My new tv had a very awkwardly placed hdmi port in a recessed compartment. It put a real strain on the cable whih had to bend at almost a right angle to be inserted. I didn't see that as being good for the cable or the port. This nifty device took care of that problem. Works well.

Easy to connect up to my TV, even thought its an antique w/o e-ARC HDMI. It has a optical port that handled that issue. It has the option to connect an external sub-woofer and a variety of sound settlings. I have it set to the basic stereo as its a bedroom TV, the sound is lightyears better than the TV speakers. I would buy again.

The Chromecast Ultra was very easy to install. Plug it in to an available HDMI port on the TV, plug the power cord into an outlet, plug an ethernet cable (not included) into block that plugs into outlet and from there to network switch (or router), and it just works. It booted up on TV, I used the app downloaded to my smartphone to complete the configuration (easy). Now I can use the cast button on many of my phone apps, or the chrome browser on my PC to send to my TV. Works great for what it is intended for.
