Headband Headphones Sennheiser Loose Fit

I replaced the cracking headband on my HD 280 Pro headphones with this one from Sennheiser. It's a perfect fit and easy to install (package has instructions).

Great fit for older 280s. Sennheiser no longer sells this headband and the one they sell now is for their new model and is impossible to get on the older 280. Great to find it here on B&H.

I have both Sennheiser & Koss headphones before but Sennheiser has always fit me the best. I needed a Pro headphone that would really, really filter out outside ambient noise because of the recording of the show that takes place in an animal shelter. The Sennheiser HD280 Pro sounds great and more importantly eliminates just about all outside ambient wonderfully. And the headphones sound great with my A/V receiver to boot!!

Sennheiser had discontinued their case for the HD-25 headphones. This is a good roomy fit for the headphones

The Senal SMH-1000-MK2is lightweight, the cushiony ear pads and headband should fit confortably to everyone. I like the fact that the bottom headband side that touches my head is made of leather / leatherette, which is easy to clean with a mild detergent or 50% (max solution) alchohol with a soft cloth, rather than the headphones that are made of a mesh material which accumulates dirt and body stuff.  Additionally, I recommend buying disposable headband and ear pad protectors such as the Auray Disposable Over-Ear Headphone Covers (50 Pairs, Black) https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1585973-REG/auray_hpc_45bk_disposable_headphone_cover_4_5.html for the ultimate in hygiene thus keeping that letter finish from deteriorating due to skin oils. Once I tried it, I can't go back. I love having those disposable pads on every single headphone I own! They also make in white. Performance: This headphone is excellent for critical listening for music and audio monitoring for video production. It has sufficient treble and the mid range boost vocals slightly and gently, just the right amount which is desired, thus maintaining the midrange mild, not piercing.  I tested this headphone listening to Metal, Techno, Classical and HipHop. It provides the adequate amount of bass in a way the studio meant to be heard, balancing all frequencies as a whole. If you're a bass head looking for bass shattering headphones, where 99% of BASS is all that matters before the actual rest of the music, this is not the product for you. Volume: With the impedance of 64 Ohms, even on a MacBook Air, it is loud enough. About 90db, which is loud enough . If you want louder, it will depend on the equipment you are using. Therefore, I'm pleased with this headphone. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review].

There is a reason why these headphones are top-rated best-sellers in their class, they are great overall. I haven't had them for long, but they fit very well, are highly effective at outside noise cancellation, have a clean sound, quality bass, and a sleek, stylish look. These headphones do not disappoint, they sound amazing. The audio cables have a special lock-in ability so they don't come out while your listening to music. The cushions are very comfortable on the ears and the headband is adjustable. If i had one negative comment though, it would be that the top part of the headband gets crinkled when you put them on, so overtime the leather will likely get worn out.

Perfectly replaced the headband on my HD280 headphones which was peeling like a bad sunburn. No instructions, but just be sure to overlap the grooves as much as possible, and start from either end pressing them together like a resealable plastic bag's seal.

After two years my headband padding was torn and looking grubby. One of the reasons I bought the HD280 was the replaceable parts. This pad is easier to replace if you stretch the headphones apart using something so the headband area is closer to flat. I tore the old one off and then the new one fit right on. Now my headphones look like new!

The isolation these offer is great, they totally shut out noise from the outside world. Their midbass response is very emphasized, to the point of them sounding a little underwater-ish out of the box. I have it EQ'd down about 3db centered on 350Hz, spanning from about 150-800Hz and with that they sound immaculate. Definitely my favorite pair of headphones I've tried to date, I prefer these over DT 770 or Sundara (the other headphones I have experience with). They have a powerful bass response but not at the expense of other frequencies, if you're into electronic music or anything with substantial low-end, these will do it justice. The headband isn't padded extremely well, they are plenty comfortable at first but after a few hours of wearing them it can get fatiguing on the head, I added a few adhesive memory foam pads to the headband to remedy this. If you're after a perfectly flat response, look into the endless open back options. But if isolation and really present low-end response is what you want, these will take you to another world!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really nice set of headphones! They feel really nice on my ears and the headband part is easily adjusted. Over time, the headband does start to get sore on my head and I have to adjust it, but this has been the case with all of my headphones. I have a smaller head and they aren’t tight enough on my ears to just stay put without the support of the headband. The sound is very nice, with surround sound so that both ears hear different sounds and background noises. The noise-canceling is very good also, although I haven’t had the opportunity to give them the ultimate test yet: airplane ride. They definitely cut out any noise around my house and in public. The charge lasts a very long time! I’ve used them a whole day without them dying. The travel case is very nice and compact, with a little compartment for the cords. It came with a short charging cord and a wired stereo cord but no charging block, which seems to be standard now. One of the really cool features is that it pauses when you lift one ear off your head. So if someone makes a quick comment where you need to hear but not fully remove them, just lift, listen and then put it back down on your ear without missing what you’re listening to (I do a lot of audio books). Overall, I’m very happy with these; they’re definitely the best headphones I’ve had!
