Headphone Are Being Detected With A Mic

This headphone is great. We were able to hear sounds we had not detected before. Good product.

Mic, Pre-Amp, and Headphone Amp in an all-in-one package! Nice to be able to use a USB mic without the need for a separate pre-amp. Really like the headphone jack incorporated into the unit with separate gain controls for the headphone volume.

This works very good for the iPhone 13 Pro, but the instructions aren't good to explain how to use it well. If you plug it in with a lighting-usb cable and then turn on the device, it will not be detected to use as an audio device but will be detected in the Rode Central App. If it turn it on and then plug it in, it will be detected and usable with Filmic Pro and the Camera stock app. Make sure you toggle AAC if using Dolby Vision. If you use the USB cable, your audio will be line level but will ignore all the dB boosting done on the device. However the audio will be in stereo so you can use both inputs to mic up a talent or for 2 and use which ever channel is better. Post audio processing will still have really clean audio when normalizing and doing simple cleanup. If you use the provided cable and connect it to a lighting-3.5mm mic input then dB boosting will work. However the audio will only be the sum of the audio sources in mono. A good situation using this is you can use it with a Shotgun mic such as the MKE-600 that uses a AA battery to self power for phantom power and plug it in one TX using the 3.5mm input and the use the other TX as a lav mic.

I wanted a mic that i could speak into from a reasonable distance. This picks up everything, even things you may not want to be detected like keyboard keys being pushed (clicking) and the window ac running from across the room. Its built solid, sturdy feel. sounds great and gives you a solid foundation to do further editing. I use it to stream, so for that alone if functions great. I used this to convert my beats three pin headphone connection to a normal connection to my headphone amp. Being that the Beat has that third line on the connector it didn't let my headphone go stereo because that third line is used for Mic or cell phone connection it would interfere. It does its job nothing else.

Every once in a while you are still going to need a headphone jack adapter for music or a mic.

Properly detected and charged my batteries without issue.

Being able to see which cable and mic corresponds to which channel is much more useful than I might have imagined. Highly recommended.

Great sturdy mic stand!! Being able to stack them and not use up a lot of space is awesome.
