Headphone Jack Not Working With Apple Headphones
DonD | 2024-09-01 04:56:29 |
This really is the only option to Apple removing the headphone jack and giving the user a way to charge and listen at the same time. Dongle-he$$ but what can you do. Works as advertised. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was not happy when Apple got rid of the headphone jack, and held on to my old iPhone as long as I could. Eventually, I wanted to update my phone to a newer version, which meant losing the headphone jack. That means I had to choose between charging or music, but this little piece of technology has fixed that! Now I can charge my phone and play music through my aux at the same time. It works flawlessly! 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ever since Apple removed the headphone jack from the iPhone it’s been a challenge to listen and charge my phone. This allow me to do both, charge and use my headphones. 5 |

My headphone jack was broken on my admittedly old laptop. This enabled me to still use headphones for a small cost, and not replace the whole computer. I can also confirm that it works via a USB hub. 5 |

I shoot video on a Canon 5D mark IV which does not have a very powerful preamp for the headphone jack. I was using a 25 year old pair of Sony headphones and could barely hear anything with the headphone volume cranked all the way up. I bought these after using a pair that belonged to a colleague. They do a great job of boosting the weak signal coming out of the camera. I also use them while editing video, plugged directly into the headphone jack of my iMac. I notice too with the iMac that I can keep the system volume much lower than I did with other headphones. I am not an audio professional, but these sound great to me and are what I would expect in this price range. My ears probably couldn't discern between these and a pair costing three or four hundred dollars. They are very comfortable. Another big selling point for me was the three different interchangeable cables that are included. The coiled phone cord type cable is great for location shooting, allowing you freedom to move around the camera without fear of tripping over or snagging a long cord. The other two cables give you options for studio use depending on how close you can sit to your equipment. It's also good knowing that a cable can be replaced if it is ever damaged. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With the headphone jack going away in phones and headphones switching to type c, this solves the issue of wanting to be able to listen to music and charge the phone at the same time. I won't use this often, but it serves a purpose. Most of the time I just use wireless charging at my desk, but this works on the go when I use portable charger at the same time. Good size and easy to use. 5 |

This headphone jack adaptor will be necessary when I upgrade my mobile phone and want to use my headphones. Great quality at a reasonable price. 5 |

We have a high end A/V receiver with only one headphone jack, and two sets of headphes with different impedance levels. Using a passive splitter resulted in one set of headphones being much louder than the other. This amp is the perfect solution. Small (important in an apartment), does the job with no perceptable difference in audio quality, and way less expensive than comparable units. I also like that the output jacks are in front. Makes connecting and disconnecting headphones easy. We mainly use the unit for home theater after our little one has gone to bed, so we can enjoy movies and TV without waking her. The only negative, and this is purely subjective, is that I'd prefer knobs to sliders, but it's a minor quibble. Highly recommended. 5 |

This is the perfect mic for recording a Skype interview. Here's how: Connect the mic's usb output to your computer. In the settings, select the Q2U as your incoming and outgoing sound card. Do the same in Skype. Connect the mic's headphone jack to a dedicated recorder like the Zoom H4, H5 or H6, in channel 1, using an 1/8 to 1/4 cord (or either one with an adaptor on one end). Run the XLR cord from the mic to channel 2 on the recorder. Connect your headphones to the recorder's headphone jack. Make sure the remote guest uses headphones too and both parties have no live speakers. When you're done, you will have a stereo recording with the guest's voice on one channel and your voice on the other. Edit in post as needed with a free DAW like Audacity. You can even sync with video. 5 |
