I love having this on my desk, and it has a headphone jack and mic jack. Big nob to adjust volume.

Like so many others during the pandemic, I had to switch to remote work for my job, and I also started making regular guest appearances on several of my friend's podcasts. I'm not paid on sound quality for this, obviously, but I needed an upgrade, and an all in one USB mic with a headphone amp for $99 fit the bill perfectly, especially with the little desktop stand included. From literally the first sentence I spoke on our daily Zoom call, everyone could tell that I'd made a major microphone upgrade. The sound quality is crystal clear and much more direct, instead of sounding like I'm yelling at a mic across the room, which was the case with my computer's mic even when I was right in front of it. I did my first podcast appearance last night and the response was exactly the same: The guys now want me on there a lot more often, which is a blessing and a curse, to be perfectly honest. I saw another review here about the headphone amp having low volume, but it actually has significantly MORE volume than the one on my computer, so maybe it's a difference in his headphones. The only slight negative that I've found is that you can hear the mute button turn on and off (there's a little click) but after pressing it a bunch of times it seemed to loosen up and the click is now much less noticeable. All in all, this thing is a slam dunk, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to upgrade from their stock computer mic at a reasonable cost.

The HAUC Active Stereo Headphone Control Box by Whirlwind fits the bill perfectly for studio headphone control. Easily mounted under the desk, it is a solid piece of gear. In my studio, I have several headphone locations branching off a multi-headphone amp. Using the HAUC, i am able to give each user a choice of 3.5 mm and 1/4 jacks, and full volume control. Installation was a breeze with four screws. At my news-talk table, I have daisy-chained three thanks to the dual jacks in the back, and each still has its own volume control. Well worth the money and highly-recommended.

Mic, Pre-Amp, and Headphone Amp in an all-in-one package! Nice to be able to use a USB mic without the need for a separate pre-amp. Really like the headphone jack incorporated into the unit with separate gain controls for the headphone volume.

Every once in a while you are still going to need a headphone jack adapter for music or a mic.

Love this thing. I use it for recording my podcast interviews when I have multiple guest. Love the fact that they can control their headphone volume, it takes up very little space and the fact that all of the adapters were included. Never heard of Polsen before HP and can't find this item anywhere else but I like. I plug it into the mic input of my microphone preamp and it works perfectly.

Using it for a TV without a headphone jack or volume control using a RCA cable Y-adapter. Works well. No complaints.

I shoot video on a Canon 5D mark IV which does not have a very powerful preamp for the headphone jack. I was using a 25 year old pair of Sony headphones and could barely hear anything with the headphone volume cranked all the way up. I bought these after using a pair that belonged to a colleague. They do a great job of boosting the weak signal coming out of the camera. I also use them while editing video, plugged directly into the headphone jack of my iMac. I notice too with the iMac that I can keep the system volume much lower than I did with other headphones. I am not an audio professional, but these sound great to me and are what I would expect in this price range. My ears probably couldn't discern between these and a pair costing three or four hundred dollars. They are very comfortable. Another big selling point for me was the three different interchangeable cables that are included. The coiled phone cord type cable is great for location shooting, allowing you freedom to move around the camera without fear of tripping over or snagging a long cord. The other two cables give you options for studio use depending on how close you can sit to your equipment. It's also good knowing that a cable can be replaced if it is ever damaged.

It's a great headphone amplifier, but what's also nice is it has one output for monitor speakers, with a volume knob control. We send this to the powered speakers in our school's edit lab, making it very easy to adjust volume independently to the headphones or the speakers at our Instructor station iMac.

Love the volume and on/off features on the remote. Wish that the remote also had a headphone jack, though. So easy to install, just follow instructions! (Owned a Roku 3 previously)
