The A5+ are actually my 3rd purchase of Audioengine speakers. I previously owned 2 pairs of the A2's. The A5+ is the update to the A5. It features a few extras missing on the A5 including a remote control with an energy saving mode, and heat fins on the rear. I also added the S8 subwoofer for a 2.1 system connected to my TV. The cost was under $600 for the setup. Before commenting on the sound, I need to provide you with some background. I have been a high end audio junkie since the late 60's owning numerous speakers including Merlin, Magnepan, Apogee, Role Audio, Totem, Accoustat, TDL, etc... so you can say that I am not the typical consumer wowed by the name of Bose etc... Anyway, on to the sound. I first set up the speakers without the subwoofer hooking up the RCA leads to the A5+ main speaker and the mini plug to the Television output. The input for the television was a Fios cable box and Panasonic Blu Ray player both using HDMI. My first impression of the sound was extremely favorable. The bass from the speakers sounded as if I already had a sub attached and voices and instruments seemed to emanate from a very clean clear background. I then attached the S8 and after some careful adjustments I could barely notice the effects. That is until a sub 50Hz sound was produced by the source. Then it revealed itself with some nice tuneful polite bass. No boom at all. It just stepped to the plate whenever needed, never calling attention to itself unless absolutely necessary. In summary, for the price, these speakers are a steal. If I were a starving college student unable to afford the good stuff. Buy these speakers! Even if you have the money to buy something more expensive. Save your money and try these. They are that good. 5 |

I have a slew of Audioengine speakers (A5+, A6, A2+, A2...) and bought these to replace an old dead pair of A2s. Because these use Class D amps, these are lighter and use significantly less power - perhaps they are a little less resilient when it comes to loud volumes, but for the size (they are tiny), I'm very satisfied. 5 |

The A5+ Wireless looks great and the build quality is excellent. The speakers paired immediately to my bluetooth TV connection (that's a real plus). They can get loud but the high-end is never abrasive and the bass response is clean. 5 |

Beautiful paper. A customer wanted five A5 size prints and liked the rounded edges. I love the little metal box. I will be buying more of this excellent paper and using this next set as intended/suggested: a portable portfolio. I only wish Hahnmuelle sold appropriate size boxes for all their paper sizes, shipping and presenting. Thank you BHPhoto for the super quick shipping. Thank you to other reviewers who let me know what to expect re this paper. Because of the rounded edges I had to “sheet paper” load it on Epson P800 Surecolor. 5 |

Added this to my Gigabyte A5 X1 which came with a 512GB SSD. It was not big enough alone. I threw this into the secondary slot, cloned the system drive over to the new one and booted from it. No problems at all. System is purring. I'm ready to wipe the original system drive so I can now use it as secondary storage. Great purchase for me, could be for you as well. 5 |

Don't think any more. You will love these speakers. Thats the bottom line. I was wondering if I should get the a2 or the a5 and I couldn't be happier with the a5. These are also great because you can upgrade in the future with the addition of the subwoofer and the audio dac. Also, I got the stands with these. Audioengine should include the stands in there packaging as a standard accessory. The speakers will sounds much much better with the stands. 5 |

Very happy with the Audioengine S8 paired with my Audioengine A5+ speakers. Great amount of adjustability that allowed me to tweak the sub for my home office. 5 |
