I bought these headphones mainly so that I could listen to my MP3 player while using power tools. They are great for that purpose. The passive hearing protection function is up to the task of attenuating chain saw noises etc. (This is not an active noise reduction headphone.) The sound quality is good. The mono/stereo switch allows use of mono sources too (such as AM radio, communications equipment, etc.) which would otherwise be audible in only one ear. The cable is a bit long. To avoid getting the cable caught in power tools it is important to coil it up, wrap it with a rubber band, or some other means. Highly recommended for good sound quality in a noisy environment. 5 |

These mono headphones fit comfortable on any age person and can be worn with the bail on top of the head in front or in back. When the accessory foam ear phone covers are used they are very comfortable. The sound quality is very good. Recommeded. 5 |

I have a portable ham radio that produces mono output. When I have stereo headphones plugged in directly, I only get sound in the left ear. When I have the mono-to-stereo adapter plugged into the radio and the headphones plugged into the adapter, I get sound in both ears, which is exactly what I wanted. 5 |

I have been buying Williams Sound HED 024 headphones for years. The sound quality is outstanding compared to other brands in the same price range. Although this model is mono, I use a conversion plug from mono to stereo. 5 |
