Though I still have a pair of the old school Austrian AKG K-240 headphones I bought around 1985 that I still love the sound on, I wanted a pair with 55ohm resistance and a 3.5mm mini plug that I could use on my portable equipment. Out of the box, there seems to be a lot more bass (although maybe that is the result of the lower resistance?) The new ones sound very good, but not quite as clear in the midrange. I will have to burn these in for a few hundred hours as some people recommend then do another compare. But unless you flip back and forth, they both sound excellent. 5 |

Got my first pair back in 1999 and they still sound amazing. Actually, probably better than ever. Also have a pair of the AKG K701's and while they do sound better, I prefer the K240's for long sessions due to comfort. They're so comfortable you forget you're wearing them whereas the K701 headphones dig into your scalp after a while and are heavier. These are amazing headphones, and for the price there's nothing even close to as good. Just don't expect to use them on a laptop or non-powered source, they take a bit of extra juice to get full sound from them. 5 |

These headphones are exactly what I was looking for when I purchased them almost 30 days ago. Basically I like everything about them: The sound is perfect for what I do in the studio, that is a sound and video editing very clear and transparent with a lot of detail. I think these are the best headphones I have ever owned. The AKG K812 headphones are very comfortable, well/solid built, and easy to adjust while on your head. I also like very much a stand that comes with these headphones. I purchase the headphones with the AKG HP4E 4-Channel Headphone Amplifier - all works great! 5 |

I recently got my hands on the AKG K371 Over-Ear Oval Closed-Back Studio Headphones and I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed. The sound quality is outstanding, rivaling my higher-priced Sennheiser headphones. The AKG K371 delivers clear, balanced audio, making it an excellent choice for both casual listening and studio work. The design of the headphones is another highlight. With a sleek and smooth aesthetic, they not only provide comfort for extended listening sessions but also add a touch of style. The build quality feels robust, ensuring these headphones can withstand the rigors of daily use. However, it's worth noting that the AKG K371 headphones do not offer significant sound isolation from external noise. While this may not be a deal-breaker for everyone, it's an important consideration if you're planning to use them in noisy environments. 5 |

I have Senneheiser and AKG headphones in more or less the same price range and slightly above, and the Senals are by far the most comfortable to wear and have the best sound quality. The detachable and replaceable cables are a bonus. The sound is open, clear, fairly neutral and with just enough bass for my taste, where other cans often get boomy and tiresome over time. Highly recommended. 5 |

These headphones are pretty sick. They do a very good job of filtering out external noises. The sound quality is good. They are pretty comfortable, but still, i rest the top towards the back of my head for added comfort. The touch control functions are totally sweet. For some reason the headphones have better bluetooth connectivity with my android phone than my laptop. Definitely get a longer USB cord, such as the Pearstone USB 2.0 Type-C to USB Type-A Charge & Sync Cable (3'). Take it easy 5 |

A good product to keep your headphones. (I have the AKG K371-BT), and they very well secured inside this case. 5 |

Sound quality is much better than I would have guessed for this type of headphones. I mostly listen to spoken word. The stay put by themselves or under a hat. They fit fine over my glasses too.The back loop does stick out a bit so you probably won’t be wearing them if you are leaning against a headrest.Note: it took me a few days to realize the left temple has a pause/play button, that was my only complaint (until I realized it was user error) 5 |
