Headphones With Flip Up Mic

I've had these headphones for maybe two years now. Up until recent, they've been amazing. I've begun to notice the sound in one ear is dull and quieter than the other. I've tested these headphones on other things (Phone, computer, etc.) and I've contined to have the problem. I am very sad to lose these headphones as they have been a favorite of mine. I hope to get a new pair in the furure.

Excellent mic and headphones for the money

I PURCHASED THIS MIC AS THE BEST MIC I COULD GET FOR IN-CLOSE RECORDING THE CELLO AND UPRIGHT BASS ON A $500 BUDGET. THE BIGGEST PLUSES ARE THAT IT IS VERY QUIET AND DETAILED--JUST BLOWS AWAY MY AKG C2000B. ALSO, IT DOESN'T OVEREMPHASIZE THE LOW FREQUENCIES OR ADD BOOMINESS WHICH IS EASY FOR A MIC TO DO WHEN RECORDING STRINGS UP-CLOSE. SO FAR ON MY TRACKS: THE BASS SOUNDS TIGHT, FOCUSED AND MEATY WHEN I USE THE BASS ROLL OFF SWITCH. THE CELLO IS DETAILED SOUNDING BUT NOT HARSH AND THE MIC SEEMS TO ADD A CERTAIN WARMTH TO THE UPPER MIDS. THE ONLY CON IF IT REALLY CAN BE CALLED ONE IS THAT THE MIC IS SO SENSITIVE IT IS A CHALLENGE TO NOT HAVE YOUR BREATHING PICKED UP TOO LOUDLY IN THE RECORDING. OVERALL I'M PLEASED.

I'd first like to mention that I received this camera from Sony as part of their ambassador program, but all thoughts are my own. I spend a lot of my time outside in nature all over the world. I live for adventurous activities and documenting these experiences in both photo and video form. I also like the option of packing light in certain situations (ie. Hiking for hours on end). Sometimes I'm in situations where having a large camera and rig prevents me from getting the shot especially when people are involved. Big cameras can be intimidating! This camera is great for being discreet and takes up very little room in my camera bag...or any bag (I can easily throw it into my purse or small backpack), even with the grip attached. I LOVE that it has a flip screen. Seriously, if this camera can have a flip screen, why can't the A7 series or A9? As a vlogger, flip screens are a HUGE plus. The fact that the camera is water and dust proof makes it a great travel buddy for every type of adventure. The fact that the RX0 II comes equipped with a mic jack, so you can attach an external mic is also very impressive. Again, why can this be done with this super small camera but not the RX100 series? Overall, I'd highly recommend this camera to anyone who is looking for a small but mighty all-purpose action camera to add to their tool kit.

Overall, an excellent video camera with unique offerings that no competitors currently have in their bags. Pros: - excellent video quality in such a small and light package with a flip out screen - excellent auto focus and tracking in video mode - a few touches here and there made the camera much more usable, such as automatically (and fairly quickly) switching on and off camera coupled with the flip screen, built-in ND filter, hot shoe that works with Sony ECM shotgun mic even in zoom mode, external mic input, improved ergonomics for better gripping, good video stabilization, redesigned in-camera mic with hot shoe mounted wind screen - quick access and customizable menu items make the UI less terrible Cons: - battery life is abysmal - limited touch screen functionality - lens quality is meh for photography - menu can use a major overhaul - nitpicking: build is OK but on the plasticky side, AF haunts in low light and jitters sometimes, overheats, no hand strap

This takes what's so good about the RX100 and makes it way more flexible for those of us filming alone. The flip-out camera and built-in mic are both outstanding. I can't recommend this enough

The lock is very smooth and you can flip it both directions to accommodate for any attachment like mic or hdmi cable routing.

I am using this to flip my classroom so I am doing lots of direct conversation into the mic. I don't have the greatest recording room and had lots of echos using my old mic. Now the sound is great with no echo.

These are great!   Flip down to talk.  Flip up to mute your mic.  There is one hub belt  that you hook up to 1 wired headset.  The other headsets are headset only, so you can listen and talk no belt pack needed.   Comes with a bag and 8 battery charger.
