There is a nice solution to that problem in the form of a simple splitter that allows charging and listening. Works really well, although you cannot use it to split into two headphones. Simple and elegant, just what is needed.

He loves listening to music on his iphone, but we don't all want to hear it along with him! This device allows him to plug in his favorite headphones (since the newer iphones don't come with a headphone jack anymore) and listen to his music. He likes that he can also charge his iphone at the same time. Good design!
