Headset For Studio

The AKG K240 Studio headset has a very balanced and precise sound throughout the frequency range. The bass is powerful and the treble is crystalline. I listen to music of various kinds, from Opera to Rock and I really like the rendering of details that K240 can give. It's really fantastic.

It’s hard to find many reviews of headset mics, but I have to say that all the positive things I heard about the DPA d:fine line are true. The 4188 sounds amazing and especially compared the Crown CM311 and the cheaper Shure WH20 models I’ve owned. The CM311 was so uncomfortable and cumbersome and I could never dial in my sound to get close to studio quality. This is the first time I’ve actually been happy with the sound and feels like it rivals my studio mics. Love the light weight and inconspicuous appearance. I got the 120mm boom and was worried about the length but it turned out to be perfect for getting the mic to the corner of my mouth.

This device allows me to move around without being tethered to my mixer by a headset cable. Now I can audition my projects and go get coffee at the same time. Connections were easy to make. Paired easily with my Bose AE2 Soundlink headset. I noticed a few milliseconds of latency when studio monitors were up. Not a problem for me, especially when simply listening via the headset. Range is good. The BT 100 is upstairs in my studio. No dropouts when downstairs in the kitchen. A side benefit is I can now privately listen to internet music and not bother my wife who prefers different genres. Included instructions are brief. Download the manual available here at B&H.

I been looking for a headset with mic for long time. I have try different brands/types. This is the one!. I use it for a recording studio. (logic Pro). Sound is great! quality amazing! Super comfy to my ears. Awesome product.

Many years ago in the 1970s I owned a pro recording studio. Had the best of what was then available. Now I’m recording my own horn playing as a hobby. I wanted a headset with a “flat” frequency response curve, not the consumer bass boost headset common to Best Buys and other chain retailers. This is exactly that, and for a third the cost of the boomy headsets widely sold. I really like hearing exactly what I’ve recorded, not a boomed-up version for lots more money.
