Hearing Clicking Sound With Sony Headphones

First of all I have substantial hearing loss at high frequencies as the result of working 25 years in a hign noise environment when I much younger. I was torn between these headphones and the Sony MDR-7506 Headphone, i could get the Sony at less money but what steered me to these was the fact that the Audio-Technica headphone comes with a straight cord (as well as a coiled cord) and the Sony has a coiled cord only, for my use the coiled cord is a deal breaker. I am overjoyed with my decision to purchase these headphones as they are just the truest sound quality and very comfortable on top of that. I use these to listen to the television after the wife is in bed, and i enjoy listening to 50's, 60's, 70's rock, 80's , 90's alternative, folk, country & a lot of the modern stuff. Metallica is souding good right this minute........ We're off to never never land............. 5 |

I have a one-year-old CD/DVD portable player and I wear hearing aids so I must use headphones when I use the device. However, the output of the player coupled with the weak output of my headphones was anemic. I decided to splurge and buy these and I can honestly say this is the best investment in ME that I've made in a long time. The description of this SONY MDR 7506 says it will provide a louder output than the less expensive headphones that I had been using, and the ad was correct. Instead of turning up the CD/DVD player all the way up and having to strain to hear much, I can now comfortably listen with the player output at half its output. I don't know how SONY did it but the sound is remarkable and very clear. Way to go BH for selling it. PW/SARASOTA Florida 5 |

We use these to plug SONY MDR headphones into iPhones and iPads for isolation and people with hearing loss. Works perfectly. 5 |

My husband and I each have a set, we are older and have a hard time hearing the TV. Weve paired with Bluetooth to each of our TVs using a Bluetooth transmitter on the TV. Many of the shows have music in the background making it much more difficult to understand what they are saying. With these, it is easier to actually hear what is being said. The charger cord is extremely short, but is not a problem for us because I just lay them on top of the computer tower and plug in. My husband has a USB port in the console of the sectional. He plugs in and closes the console lid. The cord is literally only 4 inches long. True story. Dont be using the headphones and be waiting to hear someone knock on the door! You wont hear them! The noise canceling feature works quite well. For ambient sound, just cover the right side of the earphones, and you can hear sounds around you better...and it temporarily mutes the sound in the headphones. Being harder of hearing, we have to uncover an ear so we can hear. They are very comfortable. I do miss the old-timey sound control wheels. To change the volume, tap the middle of the right earphone and swipe up or down. It works, but a wheel is more convenient. New and improved isnt always better. I have no popping or static with these, which is huge to us! We just retired two NEW pair because of this very problem (they were also Sony). They werent returnable...should have been a red flag at time of purchase. Lesson learned. All in all, we both love our headphones! 5 |

These headphones are great. I enjoy the sound quality and hearing little nuances in songs that I hadn't noticed with the cheap headphones I was using previously. The noise cancellation works really well, also. Battery lasts quite a while. I also use the wire it came with to play my guitar through a headphone amp, and the sound is very clear with that as well. I've owned 3 pairs of Bose headphones before these, and none of them have disappointed. I also can leave them on for hours and even fall asleep with them on and they don't get uncomfortable. That is one of the main reasons I chose to stick with Bose all these years. Overall, they are worth every cent, in my humble opinion. I was fortunate that when I went to buy them they even had a $50 dollar off promotion for the holidays, which was cool. 5 |

These headphones are so comfortable I have thought i misplaced them several times only to realize I was still wearing them, The sound quality is amazing! I have been hearing things I didn’t know was there in music I know. On some tracks I think I am hearing sounds and voices in the studio where it was recorded. By the way, I am 56, and my hearing is terrible! With bone conduction tech I hear everything clearly even at low levels. I highly recommend these to everyone! 5 |

When recording location sound, I often ask myself is that noise I'm hearing in the mix, or just leaking past my headphones? With the high level of noise reduction on these, it is much easier to feel confident about what is, and is not, part of the recording. 5 |

I purchased these headphones since I have to wear a hearing aid in one ear. I got tired of having to remove the air to listen to my headphone. with these I have room to put my hearing aid and still enjoying the sound while experiencing life around me. I have been recommending this for others with similar conditions or in environments where hearing your surrounding is important and still wanting to enjoy sound in ears. They are extremely comfortable and I hardly know they are on my head. The battery life is astounding as well. 5 |

I have had these for a little over a season now and I am quiet pleased with them. I can hear ~ 20dB more than the average hearing human (verified by 2 audiologists), and these headphones are good medicine to my head. I work on voice acting, music recording, and use my ears a lot when it comes to audiobooks, webinars, and listening to meditation music. The noise cancellation is just the right amount for my taste, the sound temperatures coming through are even and balanced, and I feel confident that what I am hearing through the headphones is the quality that I am sending out for auditions. My one adjustment I would make is that the headphones have to be even on my head for the sound to come through. When I try to listen with just one ear, the sound cuts out. Not sure if this is a safety feature or something...? It doesn't detract from its value to me. 5 |
