Heartbeat In Background Noise Studio Recording

Sound recording improved at least 60%. Less background noise. Worth the price.

I did a before and after recording using Adobe Audition. The reduction in background noise after installing this filter was profound.

Really cuts down on background noise when recording. I use them in a classroom of 25-30 kids and it takes a lot of the background noise away to create clear recordings.

I'm using this with my PreSonus 24c Digital Audio interface connected to my M1 Max, Macbook Pro laptop. I spend a lot of time on conference calls, and don't like wearing headsets and so I've been using a digital audio interface with an XLR mic for a few years to not have to use headsets or bluetooth earpieces when working with customers. My initial setup had a cheap(ish) Condenser mic from Audio-Technica. It worked well, and sounded better than my headsets or my airpods, but still picked up a lot more background noise than I would have liked. This mic is a huge upgrade. The sound quality is definitely much better and my voice comes through much nicer. But it's also more focused. It picks up much less background noise from other places in the house and does a much better job isolating on me talking. I'm not an audiophile. I'm not recording audiobooks or doing music of any kind. I'm occasionally recording technical guidance videos, but mostly I'm just on Zoom calls. For what I'm doing, this is probably a luxury item upgrade, but it's definitely an upgrade. If I ever start podcasting or streaming, I'll definitely be even happier to have this mic than I am already!

I'm impressed with this lav mic after a short first try with it. After installing the battery, I used it with a DSLR for recording outdoors with some minor background noise. I was impressed that there wasn't any noticeable background noise on my recording and my voice came through clearly.

I've only had this Zoom H6 recorder for about 3 weeks, so have not been able to check out the compressors and limiters, but so far the clarity of the recorded audio is outstanding with the Left/Right or with the Mid-Side included microphones. I added a couple of Shure SM-57's to the XLR inputs to get greater ambiance. Increasing the gain controls above about 8 1/2 does increase the background noise level, but I found keeping the gain settings below 8 1/2 makes for excellent recordings that play back with plenty of dynamic range and imperceptible background noise, even when recording very soft music and voice. I am expecting to get great results recording live pipe organ music with it. Changes I've made with Audacity software make great recordings even better!

We produce television. Some of our recording is at live events where the background noise is deafening. I am always stunned that interviews come through with crisp clear audio and just a low hum of background noise.We depend on this microphone to give us sharp clear sound and it delivers.

Studio use as background.

I often record in my apartment or at the studio where I work - there is a ton of background noise like traffic, air conditioners, and creaky floors. The high pass filter for perfect for filtering those consistent background hums. Of course, a little fancy editing too. Arrived right in the delivery window, customer service from B&H is great as always.

I rig a temporary video studio in my library when recording lecture videos. This background is the perfect size. I hang it behind my chair using two light stands (one to hold the center - landscape style - and one to hold a side). I emote in front of the camera and the green screen keys right out of the image.
