I often record in my apartment or at the studio where I work - there is a ton of background noise like traffic, air conditioners, and creaky floors. I love then whenever I leave a window or door open for more than 5 minutes my AC or Heat will go off to save energy. It helped a lot. I don’t need to go turn it off or ask Siri to turn it off, it just does. Plus the security of knowing what’s open before I leave is a life saver.
