Need I say any more? It works!! Excellent reproduction of Brass Instrument Sounds! How can this be possible at sub $100??

This mic will pretty much blow your mind with how clean it records. The brass instrument clip isn't that great. It wouldn't stay secured on the trumpet I mounted it on. Plus, certain mutes will prevent it from mounting entirely. I'm sure the clip is very instrument dependent, so plan for backup mounting options. When in doubt, gaff tape.

I use them to tie up my pet elephant! Hey - cables are cables - these work.

This is made with brass. It feels heavy duty. More robust than my other rings.

Great weight / size when use on a tripod for landscape use. Not too heavy for walk around use.

Built like a tank. Pro quality all the way around. As of course, dual XLR connections. Heavy duty casing. Has an instrument thru-put, ground lift, 1/4 hi-Z instrument input, -15dB PAD & XLR Output: balanced, lox-Z mic-level output

Nicely made. Heavy brass ring is low profile. So smooth going on, tightens gradually with feel. Multicoated on both sides, should be optically excellent. Expensive, sure, but so's my lens and now I won't worry about the slightest degradation in optical performance. I get the Skylight (slightly colored) version just because I always have since way back in the days of film, so now all my filters are consistent. I would be very surprised if the color or anything about this filter causes the slightest noticeable degradation of anything.

The step-up ring is a generic replacement for the heavy brass ring made by european manufacturers. It is light weighted with slim rims, although not as sturdy as the heavy european versions. The ring is coated with non-flective paint, unlike some of the older rings with highly reflective surface.

Made in Germany with famous Schneider glass in a heavy brass ring, this filter exudes quality. As soon as you pick it up it feels right. and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for good lens protection at a reasonable price.
