I'm a big fan of the ART Tech USB Dual Pre. We're using it currently as an interface for recording audio with our screen captures for software training and it really shines in this capacity. The audio is crystal clear and setup is brainless and painless! We'll tranisition it to field production in a couple months and see how it fairs outside the studio. It's a good size while not being terrible huge and it has some weight giving it a solid feel. It has solid connections as well as latency free recording which helps a lot when working with different talent and monitoring them in real-time or providing headphones while monitoring. It's a great cost effective solution for your recording needs in the field or in the studio. We're using 1 usb cable to power the unit, the mic (phantom power) and send the signal to the computer and no problems I've even plugged my guitar directly into it and had great results.Don't be a dummy and hook this thing up to a non powered USB hub and expect awesome sound. It will come close but you'll get some. Also know what you're plugging into. I've used this live into a board and it needs to be sent to a line level or gain will be introduced thus adding noise to the signal. As long as you know how to use it this thing will help you get your jobs done with less headache.

I have this connected by USB 3.0 to a Asustor AS5304T 4-bay NAS. Setting it up was easy after the supplied USB cable broke as soon as I went to use it. First test was installing 1tb WD hhd's, works fine. Then I decided to see if I could figure out a way to install 2.5 ssd's. I found on Thingiverse a 3D model of a drive adapter that I could print and use. Made that and put a Crucial MX500 1tb ssd on it. This was able to be inserted into a bay and recognized. That works. BTW - These drive so far were NTFS. Here is where it I had an issue. I tried installing a 2.5 Seagate 5tb hhd formatted with a NTFS volume. This did not work. The Sabrent station changed it to show up as a GPT protective partition. I next installed A WD 4tb hhd and got the same results. After googling this problem I found that someone had contacted Sabrent about it and the suggested to do a low level format. I know that doing this would tie up a drive for ages before completion. Here is what I did: 1. In Windows I used Diskpart and performed a Clean. Then used Disk Management, initialized the disk and did a simple exFat volume. This worked on the drives I wanted to use that were over 1tb. Why? I did more reading and from what I understand is that it has to do with the disk sector sizes. This I don't need to understand for I only care about getting to a usable enclosure with larger drives. I have even read elsewhere that some people got so frustrated that they put it aside to collect dust. I hope this helps them. Overall, I am please with this product except for that junky USB cable.

A good combination of studio monitoring and casual music listening

Ive used the standard Sony studio monitoring headphones for video production purposes, and while they sound fine, they just dont last very long...ear cup material comes apart or just comes off. The Sennheiser HD 280s are buil to stand up to the riggors of location production applications while providing great isolated sound for monitoring purposes. My only compliant/wish would be for them to switch to a non-coiled headphone cable...gets stretched out if someone decides to wrap it around the earpieces or if it gets shoved into a bag.

I'm extremely amazed at the quality of this device. I use it for DJ IEM monitoring and there is practically 0-latency for all intents and purposes. Being hands and wire free makes life so much simpler. Setup time was maybe 10mins (probably faster) since I was reading the manual first. Love the limiter and sensitivity functions. Pairing was easy . . .still just in awe of the superior quality of Sennheiser.

Amazing Device! Saves so much time when monitoring mixes on two separate monitors for reference. That little "Mono" button is also amazing as you can hear the mix in mono. Idk how I did it without the Big Knob for so long. Now that I own this, I'm spoiled!

I used this for a tight environment where a server was right up close with a video-camera monitoring system. This device makes it really easy to leave the cameras up, and just switch over to the server when I need to work on it. The small remote-button can be placed where it's convenient, instead of having to figure out how to get the KVM itself to be placed where it's reachable. I've bought several of these, over the past few years, and am always happy with them.

Purchased this Remote Monitoring Card as an addition to a CyberPower CP1500 UPS in order to allow online status availability. The device was simple to install into the UPS device. The QR Code on the card simplifies recognition by software/ application.

I use this device inside a portable rack case with the ATEM and other devices. Having the option for an integrated monitoring solution like this one allows me to travel light when the circumstances require it... one case - all I need in it. Build quality is top notch as all BlackMagic Design devices I own and use. It is extremely shallow so it leaves plenty of usable space behind it, with only about 3/4 deep plus your cables. I has unique features that I currently use but those alone can justify its price - see tally indicators, network connection , etc.

Device worked great and was very easy to setup. I also really like the real time bandwidth monitoring and ability to view connected clients. For the price this is an excellent device. (This is written as of the 1.10 firmware level)
