High Quality Doorbell Camera

I've had the Nest Hello for a month and a half and it's exactly what I wanted. A high quality video doorbell. I also have the Nest Aware which is great especially now that I know when my kids come home from school. Plus with Google home when someone presses the doorbell I know who is at the door.

An excellent product for a first revision. I would definitely recommend as it is easy to install and provides first rate video quality in difficult lighting situations due to its high definition high dynamic range camera. Audio quality is also excellent being clear and loud at the doorbell. However, the audio is only half duplex and only the audio from the doorbell is recorded with the video.

I purchased this because I need a good camera doorbell with "no strings attached." It really delivered, it has great quality and will do exactly what you need record and everything without having to pay extra.

I used to have SimpliSafe doorbell camera. I wasn’t happy with quality and reliability of their cameras so I switched to this and I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER with the decision. No more monthly fees, quality and features are 10X better so is the reliability!

This doorbell is awesome. Comes with all the parts and pieces to make the install easy. Camera image quality is excellent, and it was very easy to connect to the app and Fusion NVR.

I got this to replace a security system I will not mention that I have had for that last several years and was paying way to much money for. The quality between the two doorbell videos are day and night. This camera is crystal clear and it actual picks up video of what i need it do, not just a bug flying by but misses somebody running through my yard. Set up was super easy. I really can’t get over how great the quality of the videos are. Great doorbell camera.

As I'm writing this, I'm still extremely happy with the performance and video quality of the doorbell camera! You see, less than 24 hours after I had installed this doorbell, a neighbor had a truck ramming into her house, ending with, well, a "bang". The doorbells ability to capture crystal clear video and amazingly detailed audio caught not only each impact, but every word yelled by the defending individual. This camera not only makes me feel much safer (especially when bundled with the Lorex Fusion NVR, more on that in a moment), but it also helped my neighbor when the police conducted their investigation. Even the officers were impressed with the quality of the camera. Well designed, and elegant to boot! Now, the only flaw with this camera, is that extracting video footage from it can be a bit problematic. The doorbell will not record continuously, as the NVR does. Setting the doorbell up with the NVR was a bit tricky, but once I was able to figure out what device it is on my WiFi network, and use the username "admin" with the password given at setup, it all clicked home. Some direct-from-Lorex documentation would help in this situation greatly. Ease of use, other than that, is excellent. But it needs to be easier to extract the video in Avi or Mp4 formats (both came up as corrupt on multiple attempts). Even using the miniplayer to convert it through screen record didn't help. I had to supply the video in native Dav format with the player. My guess, is that audio confuses the transcoding a bit? Otherwise, 10/5 stars! Great product! Thank you Lorex!!

I was skeptical of the quality of the video and accuracy of the alerts including face recognition, but I have to admit, this doorbell camera is great. I plan on adding the Google Home Hub to make this the ultimate doorbell and security camera. Great product! Installed during a cold snap around -35 celcius and it works flawless at those temps which are beyond the listed threshold.
