Just plug and play into an available PCIE slot and you're cooking with gas. IMPORTANT NOTE: you can see from the product image that the card will need an x4 or larger sized bus slot - (i.e. it will fit into an x4, x8, or x16 width slot, but not into the smaller x1 slot). Google pci express slot sizes and then compare against what's available on your motherboard.

The 5's are great for the Kitchen, especially when you set-up a pair as a stereo pair, change the mood when cooking.

I have it set up in our in dining / kitchen, and use it when cooking (which I love to do) and entertaining. It's used all the time and is very reliable. Sound is great, clarity magnificent.

My new iPad air 2 hangs around the kitchen mostly (we have a great bay window there) and I use it for cooking as well as when my granddaughter comes to play with it. The base is very secure, even on a glass tabletop, and I can make the pad face completely towards the ceiling for cooking, but also adjust it for other uses. Adjustments are seemingly infinite and secure. I do not imagine I would have to repurchase it, it is very sturdy. Although the backstrap for holding up the iPad during presentations seems a but unnecessary for my purposes, I can se where it would be useful.
