High Resolution Mirrorless Camera

This is the best mirrorless camera that I've ever used. The video is remarkable and the 24MP photo resolution is more than I need in this application.

Not much to add that hasn't already been said about this camera. If you shoot Nikon and/or you are not ready to move to a mirrorless system, this is probably the best all around DSLR. Full compliment of features (focus stacking, intervalometer, liveview focus peaking, etc.), great ergonomics, fantastic metering and white balance. Plenty of resolution for landscape and macros, respectable FPS (especially with the EN-EL18 battery), and generous buffer for a high-resolution camera. It's hard to imagine what it'll take to get me to upgrade from D850.

Canon is getting ready for a high resolution camera, and this lens is designed to deliver even at 30+ Mp resolution, just like the other latest f/4 zoom, i.e. 24-70 IS L. Canon is clever. They always had better lenses than other large manufacturers, even if those had temporarily better bodies. But the game will close soon, when the high resoultion Canon body will come out, this lens will shine along with the other recent Canon lenses... This lens can resolve much more details tha any other UW lens can... Genious!

When I first got the camera, I filmed my daughter's high school band concert...and with the resolution, I felt like I was at a high quality concert..as if I were watching a high definition public television concert.

This camera is lightweight and easy to handle. I have used it mostly for birding pictures, where I can crop the image and still have high resolution. And B&H threw in an extra battery and sd cars and carrying bag to boot. Very happy I go this camera.

I'm a botanist with an interest in very small plants. When I'm out and about I want to carry a camera with a single lens capable of high quality macro photography that will also double as a standard lens for other types of shots. This lens paired with my a7R is perfect in these respects. The 50mm focal length makes it an all-rounder while it is also capable of extremely good macro shots. The resolution when used with the A7R is astounding, to the extent that I can produce pictures well beyond 1:1 by cropping 1:1 or larger shots, benefiting from greater depth of field in the process. A 1/4 crop of a full-frame shot taken at iso 100 or 200 with a tripod is quite capable of being blown up to make a high quality image. The less-than-lighting-fast auto-focus doesn't bother me, it's more than adequate for normal still photography and of course I use manual focus for the macro shots. This lens is now almost permanently attached to my camera and I've sold my Sony/Zeiss 55mm 1.8. While I'm sure that lens has the edge wide open and for action shots, for the sort of photography I do the 50mm macro ticks all of the boxes. I couldn't tell the difference in resolution at f8 when I compared images from these lenses.

I am getting high resolution family group photos with my Fuji GFX 100 camera. So far the resolution seems pretty similar to my Fuji GF primes. Plus the small size and weight will make it a go to walk around lens.

I use the Version II to activate the shutter in mirror-up mode for the Nikon D800E. This is a big help, since it avoids camera shake on a high-resolution image. I don't touch the camera during the shutter activation process. This appears to make a big difference in the clarity of the final result. I gave it 5 stars due to the pricing and features vs. the Nikon equivalent. It appears to be a worthwhile accessory for the Nikon D800E camera system, which, due to the high-resolution sensor, makes vibration reduction important.

Owner of a G9 1st gen. for the past 4years, and many other camera systems, I use 4/3 with Leica/Lumix lenses for travelling light. After 2 weeks with the G9MkII, I’m just delighted. I use a S5II full frame most of the time, having the same camera in 4/3 format is unbelievably useful. Same settings, same interface, same app (fantastic), just a set of lenses that are half the size and weight. Quality wise: there is maybe a difference of 1 to 2 stops in term of image noise, but resolution is mostly comparable if you use the best lenses at their best aperture. The best part compared to full frame: an extended depth of field that makes landscape easy to render without the difficulties of focus stacking or resolution diffraction compensation that all advanced full frame users will face. I use the G9II new handheld 100 Megapixel multi shot super high resolution mode: no tripod, no noise, high resolution, and you get a huge raw file ready to handle in Lightroom. The new AF is excellent and fast, and as usual, Lumix buttons and interface are both almost perfect. Excellent Pana/Lumix engineers! Keep up the good work!
