High School Band Wind Instrument

This microphone is amazing and was a huge upgrade from what I had. I am using it to record our high school marching band and the recordings are so accurate and detailed, it’s near perfect. I record on top of press boxes in the open air most of the time where I have to deal with wind and, with the wind muff, it does a great job even without turning on the wind reduction. If there was one thing I wish it did better, it would be in the reproduction of the lower frequencies but that’s getting really picky. I am using this microphone on the Sony ZV-E10.

When I first got the camera, I filmed my daughter's high school band concert...and with the resolution, I felt like I was at a high quality concert..as if I were watching a high definition public television concert.

I purchased this for our high school band concerts to mic the ensemble. Paired it with 8 others and did a great job. Audience loved the performance.

Our high school room is small, but high schoolers love a full band. Without the drumshields and lid, it's too loud for even high school kids. The lid made a huge difference by keeping sound from bouncing off the ceiling and back off the floor.

I use this lens to photograph the high school band at football games. It's a great lens and works well in low light!

I VIDEO FOR HIGH SCHOOL MARCHING BAND CONTESTS. NORMALLY VERY WINDY CONDITIONS HERE IN OKLAHOMA, THIS DEFUSER HAS DONE AS GOOD A JOB OF KEEPING NOISE DOWN AS CAN BE EXPECTED.I WOULD AND DO RECOMEND IT.

I use these for portraits and most recently to take portraits of a high school symphonic band. The strobes were at full power due to the distance and the umbrella provided a very nice, uniform light over the whole band. For portrait work they provide great catch lights, and when used with a diffusion panel, a soft even light. I really like how the spokes are hidden by the inner cover. I would diffidently recommend this product.

We use this microphone on a 20' stand to capture the audio of our high school band's halftime performances. Works very well.

Wow, this works really well. I bought it for the band at our church. Makes it very easy for someone who plays an instrument and sings to have a decent in-ear monitor without spending a fortune. Very solid all-metal construction. Setup and use are very simple; the diagrams & labels silk-screened onto the top make it easy to see what should plug in where. As a nice additional touch, it doubles as a direct box for the instrument input. I highly recommend the optional MSC106 mic stand adapter if you're using this on stage. Only drawback is that you need a long cable or an extension for your ear monitor / headphones. If you mount this on a mic or music stand, you don't have a lot of room to move. We'll be buying a mix of these and the 1-channel PM50s to move our whole band to in-ear monitors.
