This device completes my desk setup. I use two laptops, one personal and one for work, and I enjoy being able to switch between the two while having access to all of my devices through the use of a single cable. Connected to my TS4 is a monitor, an external HDD, a microphone, wired headphones, a mouse, cooling pad, keyboard, SD card, and an Ethernet cable. Together, these devices surpass the physical limitations of my personal laptop making the TS4 a wonderful tool. I haven't used every port on the TS4, nor do I intend to, however, it is nice to have that option available. I have seen people post that they have had problems using this device with their Macs and I hope that CalDigit fixes their issues. I for one have had no issues using the TS4 with my Dell XPS 15 9570.

Since I carry 2 laptops, one personal and one work, it is great to protect my personal computor. It fits into my rolling case along with my mobile office info.

I've been using Microsoft Surface laptops for personal and business use for years, and I've got no complaints. I like my hardware and software to be made by the same company so there's less bloatware. I don't use the laptop to game, edit videos, or anything intensive. (Unless you count having multiple tabs of Google Chrome open.) The machine runs smoothly. No complaints there. The angular metal exterior looks and feels great. It says professional without being as boxy as a ThinkPad.

Useful to switch between my work and personal laptops to use dual monitors. Very happy it works with my older work laptop with the USB-A adapter.

I install Samsung SSD in all my client machines, as well as my personal ones. They have no moving parts, which makes them ideal for laptops that get moved and/or tossed around. Performance is stellar. Win7 and new can use the Magician software to enable RAPID mode (disk cache), which is ideal on battery powered laptops to ensure no data loss from a power outage. The PRO is more durable than the EVO series, and priced accordingly. PRO is for heavy use. Leave 5~10% of the disk as raw/unallocated for automatic wear leveling.

I use sharing switch to connect my work-issued and personal laptops to the hub connected to all other peripherals (monitors, keyboard, conference equipment etc.). Took me a couple of tries to figure out which usb port to use on laptops. Works exactly as described. Price is reasonable, other similar items were either out of stock or priced 2-3 times more. Delivery was swift.

I use this for small cables to keep my personal computer and video cables neat in my pelican.

Especially, in industries where PCI and SOC and HIPPA mandate all data be accounted for and maintained encrypted, this is a good way to accomplish this, as long as you have a good inventory system and way to secure daily then rechecked out every time needed.
