History Of The Power Station Recording Studio

Whether in a recording studio or radio station, you'll always find these headphones there for a reason: they are the best. Just got my third pair (cat ate one ten years ago, other I gave to my wife). Tried my son's pricey Bluetooth phones with the opening of Jurassic Park: bass distortion. Let him hear the same with the MDR-7506 and it was clean. I'll never have a reason to choose any other headphones. 5 |

For anyone passionate about composing and recording music at home, away from a commercial studio, this product is ideal. There are 4 XLR / 1/4'' inputs with preamps, and the interface also has 48V phantom power so mics can bus power from the device itself. I was used to just running directly into my computer and having this interface made a world of a difference. A musician friend actually turned me onto it. I can have bass, guitar, synth, and microphone all connected at once, with zero noticeable latency. Also, the connection and the quality of the audio I record is pristine. I would recommend this project to anyone and I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. 5 |

I use this for web audio/video. I upgraded from the H4 (which I really liked.) This thing is way better. The external knobs alone are worth the upgrade. The sound is pristine. Even when boosting the audio, there is no hiss. I no longer need to use noise-removal during production. (Assuming a quiet recording environment.)It is also EXTREMELY east to use. No more drilling down through the menu to adjust your input. The mic options are great as well. Both have many uses and sound great. I still prefer the stereo mic for most projects. I also use it for creating video how-to's with Camtasia. The sound is far superior to any headset I've tried. I haven't had an opportunity to use more than 2 inputs at once yet, but looking forward to giving this a try during a multi-mic, live recording. You may not find this in a pro recording studio, but if you are an indie film maker, ENG, web video/audio, you can't go wrong. It's a studio in your hand. Kind of wondering why they put it out before the accessories (power, remote, etc.) came out, but oh well. I'll definitely be picking up the remote and power cable when they come out. 5 |

An AMAZING little unit. Use this every day to power a recording studio. Have 4 /100 watt panels on the roof for recharging and seem to be doing the job quite well. On cloudy days, have plugged it in to a wall outlet to recharge and is amazing how quick it refreshes! Also use it in the camper van to power all the lights, refer, sink and fan. Is a small compact unit so is easy to not be in the way. The cigarette lighter adaptor for charging while driving is a nice feature. Haven't tried it with our large refer in the home yet but will do that in case of a power outage. 5 |

I'm a big fan of the ART Tech USB Dual Pre. We're using it currently as an interface for recording audio with our screen captures for software training and it really shines in this capacity. The audio is crystal clear and setup is brainless and painless! We'll tranisition it to field production in a couple months and see how it fairs outside the studio. It's a good size while not being terrible huge and it has some weight giving it a solid feel. It has solid connections as well as latency free recording which helps a lot when working with different talent and monitoring them in real-time or providing headphones while monitoring. It's a great cost effective solution for your recording needs in the field or in the studio. We're using 1 usb cable to power the unit, the mic (phantom power) and send the signal to the computer and no problems I've even plugged my guitar directly into it and had great results.Don't be a dummy and hook this thing up to a non powered USB hub and expect awesome sound. It will come close but you'll get some. Also know what you're plugging into. I've used this live into a board and it needs to be sent to a line level or gain will be introduced thus adding noise to the signal. As long as you know how to use it this thing will help you get your jobs done with less headache. 5 |

I use this to provide 2+ headphone outputs for multiple listeners of field recording of personal history interviews and high school music performances. There is plenty of gain, and when I turn the gain to zero, it is dead quiet! It has excellent grounding. It is smaller, lighter and less expensive than its competition and I see no compromises for this design. 5 |

Use for recording of oral history as well as recording voice tracks for radio spots. Excellent sensitivity, tonal qualities and battery life. There are so many things I want to do with this now. This may be the very best investment I have made in a very long time. 5 |
