If I had the choice, I'd have two assistants following me around at receptions... one at camera left holding a big softbox, and the other at camera right with a big reflector. But I work solo, so the Lumiquest is a practical solution for off-camera flash at busy events. I hold my speedlight in my extended left hand, and shoot the camera with my right hand. It takes some practice, but it's worth it, because the results are far better than you can achieve with a flash bracket.

I vacillated over which mic I should buy to pair up with my acoustic guitar and my Fender Acoustic Junior amp. This turned out to be ideal.

I use this controller attached to the handle on my mono pod. It allows me to focus an zoom with my left hand while holding the mono pod with my right. Its simple and effective. I like the on and off switch for auto-focus. I have a Panasonic hpx 250 camera.

You can simply use one hand to adjust the angle and tighten it with your left hand, freeing your right hand holding the camera. The Panning is great to work with. However, with the knot is round instead. It gets in the way of my clamp good for monopod too.

I prefer to hold a camera in the left hand and could never be comfortable holding my A9, especially when using zooms. The RRS L-Plate gives me the adjustable grip I was longing for. Both hands are now comfortably holding the camera. I also hooked my camera strap to the bottom left hole of the L Plate and to the right eyelet of the camera so the camera hangs down comfortably and provide stability when shooting. It is worth every penny.
