Hollow Body Fretless Bass Guitar
musikopedie | 2024-09-09 07:46:39 |
This is not a Hollow-Body guitar, as listed, it's a semi-hollow. That being said, it's a great semi-hollow for the price. Probably not the best choice for a live guitar, (too much feedback), but great as a studio guitar to add a different flavor. 5 |

For small combo work with a hollow-body jazz guitar, this amp has a great clean tone and in small rooms plenty of power even at its 40 watt rating. It must be extremely efficient because I have yet to go beyond 1 on the volume. 5 |

I am a bassist that plays a fretless electric upright bass and sings background vocals in several bands. Because I have to look at my fingerboard regularly to check my intonation, it's hard to use a traditional stand-mounted mic. I got a Shure SM-35 headworn condenser mic (phantom power required), but needed a way to turn the mic off when I was not singing. After looking at several switches, I bought this one and used it at a gig last night. It worked exactly as advertised - no noise, no popping, no problems. The only issue I had was a difficulty plugging in the mic itself - the input on the Power Mute was very tight and it took a rather strong attempt to get the XLR connector in to make a good connection and locked. It could just need a break-in period, but that was the only problem I had with it. 5 |

These speakers are part of my first self assembled PC. The music coming out of the speakers are really clear. I can hear the lyrics being sung with no hollow sound to them (if your speakers are having a hollow sound make sure the fill in speakers are unchecked). The subwoofer picks up the bass beautifully leaving the speakers to do what they are designed to do, and that's to play music without cramming the bass into the speakers; while playing anything that has music to it. Gaming? Yes I can actually hear each sound in my MMO games. I can hear the sound of the water rushing, flowing or gushing and hear monsters players using their job/class skills, all from a distance. If you have High Definition sound via on board or HD sound card, then this speaker set will be pleasing when gaming, listening to music or play back of a recording. 5 |

Ideal if you play bass or guitar and sing. It gives you space from your instrument. 5 |

Well built, and the metal end is not not hollow, so less likely to be crushed. 5 |

Used once for powering guitar amp, powered monitor, pedal board, and bass amp on stage. Performed well and kept the hums at bay. Long cord legnth and good plug access. 5 |

I bought this mic on a whim. I have a large mic collection and find Cad mics hit or miss. They make some dull sounding entry level mics and some incredible sounding high end microphones. One thing: their mics tend to be incredibly tough. I'm a huge fan of the equitek line, so I figured I'd see what this mic was all about since it looks pretty cool. This mic is great, especially for the price. It sounds great on vocals, acoustic guitar, guitar and bass cabs, and piano. I briefly tried it out as a room mic for drums but found the top end a bit too harsh (horrible zbt cymbals), but I didn't get a chance to experiment much with placement, nor with switching cymbals out. I used the mic on a recent recording session I did for a metal band. Paired with a dynamic mic on a 2x15 bass cab about a foot away from the speaker, the cad e40 captured an absolutely killer bass sound. Punchy with just enough grit, and incredibly detailed sounding. It might be my go to mic for 15 inch speakers from now on. 5 |
