I already own a number of podcasting mics but saw a video on these Tula mics that really intrigued me. I mostly wanted to have the option for internal recording without the mic even needing plugged in to a power source. I have NOT been disappointed. The quality of the mics has been superb. A perfect blend of highs/mids/lows. It makes my voice sound good (adult male), my wife's (adult female) and even my three year old boy's! Very crisp sound - not needing much post production correction at all, if any! They're made of high quality metal materials. Parts are replaceable (don't see that needing to be done, but still nice). The retro, yet somehow modern, look to them is so so good. You just WANT to use them. Internal recording and battery life are game changers. Wow! You can even record a single track that uses the noise cancellation feature, but simultaneously record a safety track without it. Plenty of buttons on both sides is nice too, so you don't have a lot of tricky taps to get where you want with the settings. The only things I can warn you about are these: - There is no screen or gain knob with numbers to see settings or playback features. You kind of have to get your muscle memory down a bit to navigate the features (not bad though with all the available buttons). - These mics are sensitive! Definitely buy the Tula pop filters or you'll get too many plosives. One last good thing - although all these mics sound better when your mouth is closest to the mic, these Tula mics sound great even when you're a few feet away. Awesome!

There is a reason that practically every production studio and grip truck in Hollywood uses these stands. They're heavy duty and made in the US. Most important, they are durable and can be used to hold scenery, flags, backdrops and things you won't think of until you're on a job. They may not be the cheapest, but in my opinion, they are the best.
