I am using these speakers on my home office desk (from Uplift Desk) where I do legal work and compose music for symphony orchestra and big band. The speakers work very well in playing back the music using Garritan sounds and Finale. I can clearly hear the individual instruments and locate the occasional wrong note.

This is a simple device. I like keeping my headphones off the surface of my desk. I have one of these for my home and office.

Feels really solid. Clamped it to the bookshelf next to my desk to get the right angle for my home office space without obscuring monitors. Requires some effort to move the arm up and down but that also means it doesn't move around when you don't want it to so I like it. I was able to leave one of the fasteners loose so I can swing it back and forth freely which works great for me when I'm not actively using it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a project manager working both from the home and at the office, I needed a blue tooth speaker that was both compact and portable. But, I also needed it to be compact enough to fit into a messenger bag pocket without crowding my electronic devices. The Clip 5 not only suits that purpose but also as shown in this image takes up absolutely no space on my desk in my home office by securely clipping onto the desk lamp. At the office it clips conveniently onto an adjustable monitor arm, inconspicuously serving as the computer speaker that really isn’t. The build quality is outstanding for being a Bluetooth speaker unabashedly minimalist in its aesthetics. The iconic carabiner appendage ie the “clip” that is practically synonymous with the JBL Clip series befits the rugged overall feel and functionality of the Clip 5. Especially given its IP67 water and dust resistance along with its beefy control buttons, it would be perfectly sufficient attached to my camelbak on deep hikes as it would attached to my work stand in the garage. After giving it a few hours to break in the sound took me by surprise with its distinctly spacious presence that left me wondering if the conventional multi-speaker desktop audio arrangement is now rendered antiquated. And while its simplicity would seem almost one-dimensional, this turned out be strictly as a result of many of its appealing features of versatility and flexibility being available through the JBL portable device app. Through the app I was able to dial in the EQ and power consumption settings for my listening and usage preferences. Speaking of connectivity the Bluetooth 5.3 synchs up with all my devices effortlessly and without difficulties maintaining the connection. With the USB-C charging port and 12 hours of battery life to which I can personally attest, this has been a productivity-enhancing sweet spot combination of listening enjoyment and portability.

In my home office, I have two monitors on my desk and i missed having the two screens when I traveled with my laptop. I originally purchased a less expensive ASUS portable monitor and although it produced a clear and sharp image, i decided I wanted something that would provide a much brighter image and next purchased the ProArt PA 148CTV. This monitor is absolutely perfect as a second screen and i am extremely happy with it. Note, I did not buy it for its creative properties, but just to use it as a high quality add on screen, which it does very well. OK, I know this sounds odd, but i also travel with a 3 ft wide folding desk. This monitor has a tripod socket and I mount it on a mini tripod, so it sits just above my laptop's screen. Perfect!!

I use the Play:5 at my home office desk. It flanks my 27 inch monitor & laptop and it within reach to use the touch controls, which turned out to be a nice feature that I didn't realize I'd use as often as I do. I use an Audioquest 3.5mm splitter to connect 2 computers that I toggle back and forth throughout the day. This allows me to play back all of my virtual meetings and video calls during the work day. It works flawlessly. When I'm not on a call, I quickly switch the source to stream music. I was worried the Play:5 was "too much" speaker for the space and it would be too close to me. I was wrong. It sounds absolutely incredible and fills the 12'x12' room perfectly. I read every discussion forum or article I could find about using the line in on the Play:5 to connect a PC. I'm here to tell you that it works great, it can be done, and there is no noticeable lip sync issue (which you can always adjust if you do experience). I do have a Sonos Boost and would also recommend high quality shielded 3.5mm audio cables to avoid electrical noise (which I did experience at first given the many wires at the desk).

I had one of these label printers on my office desk for a number of years. After I retired I found I needed one just as much here at home, so I bought this one.
