I have this wifi access point mounted on a high wall in the central part of the house; it easily provides coverage to all rooms (4000' feet home). You need to have access to an ethernet cable and you must be able to provide power over ethernet or be able to use the included power injector somewhere along the cable run. It works very well and is fairly easy to set up, but it's not a home handyman type of thing. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been thrilled with my ecobee Home Security Bundle. Installation and configuration could not have been easier or more intuitive. Mount the sensors, open the ecobee app on your phone, step through adding the new device, and the security bundle was up and running in a couple of minutes. One of the things I like about ecobee products is they appeal to a wide range of Users. You can keep it very simple, or you can integrate their devices into a larger ecosystem for home automation. I also purchased the SmartCamera as part of the ecobee as part of the Home Security Bundle. And I already have an ecobee Smart Thermostat with Voice Control. These devices integrate through the ecobee App to create a very simple to use home security network for added peace of mind. And the Autopilot feature automatically takes care of turning on/off the security system and setting the thermostat to home/away as you come and go from your home. Used this for a elevator camera conversion. This allows you to use a single BNC coax cable to power and connect a Ethernet POE camera. You only need to supply 24vdc to the near end converter. It also extends the operational distance limitations. very nice 5 |
