Home Security System With Cameras And Door Sensors

2024-07-01 05:34:57

Have had the door/window sensors with the Smart Camera with voice controls for a few weeks now and have been very surprised with the performance so far. We currently have a wired home security system we have been thinking of replacing, and think we will be going with the Ecobee Security. When one of the doors is opened the Ecobee sensors actually notify my phone a half second before the wired alert from our current system, very impressive. Also love these sensors have motion sensors built in, big plus and help. So far the only flaw we’ve seen is that the camera will go “offline” and cannot view live video, but it seems to still records when someone enters in front of the camera and the sensors performance has not been effected by this. Usually a quick unplug/restart of the camera fixes this, but would like to find out if this is a widespread issue or just my camera doing this. Overall very happy with these products and will be testing the security suite to see how well it performs, and also plan on upgrading our AC Thermostat with the Ecobee one as well.

I have been very happy with my ecobee SmartCamera. Installation and configuration could not have been easier or more intuitive. Simply plug in the camera, open the ecobee app on your phone, step through adding the new device and the camera was up and running in a couple of minutes. One of the things I like about ecobee products is they appeal to a wide range of Users. You can keep it very simple or you can integrate the their devices into a larger ecosystem of home automation. I also purchased the door/window sensors with built in motion sensors as part of the ecobee as part of the Home Security Bundle. I also have an ecobee Smart Thermostat with Voice Control. All of these devices integrate though the ecobee App to create a very simple to use home security network for added peace of mind. And the Autopilot feature automatically takes care of turning on/off the security system as well as setting the thermostat to home/away as you come and go from your home. What a simple but effective system.

Absolutely delivers on its promise. Love how it's not only used for HVAC, but also security with its occupancy sensor. Highly recommend this product and the subscription plan. The annual plan is very affordable given how it does 2 for 1 (HVAC and security). Get it in a bundle for a better value. Trust me when I say the more sensors the better, but don't go too crazy. At least add the door sensors to your doors. Then, the windows you open the most frequently. These ecobee devices can work with many sensors simultaneously. The install was very easy. Just make sure to clean the surface. For doors, make sure the door does not swing and hit the sensor while being close enough for the sensors to work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These door sensors are a great added security feature in our home. They were super simple to install and connect to the app. We love the comfort in knowing all doors were shut after our pet sitter came by to check on our cat while out of town!

I have a total of 5 cameras on this system up and running on the Lorex Smart Home Security Center . It is "basically " straight forward to get them running..... but not easy. you need to have passwords for each and identifying "names' of each. It is best to have all this info in a note on your phone so you can copy and paste it later in all the needed locations rather than figure out each one in real time

This was one of two cameras I purchased recently for a security system I installed on my home. It covers a side of my house where a boat and camper are stored. Installation was straightforward, mounted under the eaves of my roof, although it took me a minute to interpret the Ikea-like instructions for removing the cover when adjusting and installing. His-Vision had a digital video on their website that was helpful with that. Daytime picture quality is terrific. Nighttime is good, although this type of camera uses infrared, so the image is black and white. I have not fully mastered setting parameters for notifications, thanks to ADHD. Someday . . .

Easy to SetUp,Potentially Portable,No Monthly Cost The Lorex Home Center with two Wifi cameras has to be the easiest security system that I have ever setup. The system consists of two 1080p wifi cameras and a base station with a touch screen that displays the video from the cameras. All you have to do is download the app, plug in the base station, and plug in the cameras. The app is then used to setup the cameras wirelessly. Because the cameras and base station are plugged in and not hard wired, the base station can be moved from room to room or the system can potentially be used at another location. The wifi cameras are designed for outdoor use; however, I setup one outdoors on my back porch and the other inside looking out through my front window. Video from the back porch camera was very clear and video through the front window was as clear as possible considering that there will be reflection from the window. The base station also includes voice control so that if you wanted to see what is happening in your backyard you would say something like "Lorex, show me backyard." In summary, if you are looking for an easy to setup security system that can potentially be used at several locations and with no monthly cost, I would recommend considering the Lorex Home Center.

We fitted two smart door sensors which are useful to switch off AC when left open, so saving energy. Also, we have the security feature activated, this is useful to know when people are moving about when we’re not home. The Ecobee system we’ve installed integrates well with the smart home infrastructure, at night if a bedroom door is opened the hallway light comes on low so it’s possible to see where you’re going without compromising night vision.

I had the ecobee and added 3 cameras and 3 sensors for all rooms along with door sensors. Love the products - wish they would make Flood lights and Smart locks to go with ecobee.
