With the move to working from home, I needed to upgrade my desk set up. I use these monitors for amateur mixing and voice work, as well as listening to music, watching movies, and video calls. I wanted a relatively flat, accurate reproduction, and these fit the bill nicely. One thing to note: They go into standby mode after about 30 mins, and start back up very quickly. This is great, as you can just leave them on all the time. A nice touch of detail.

I needed a pair of studio monitors to do multitrack audio mixing at my home studio & these are perfect!

I bought these for monitoring/mixing in my home studio. The sound is clean, the balance is excellent; it is easy to distinguish each track and hear all the detail I need to add/adjust effects and mix down. In short, I find these excellent for the purpose and don't feel the need to spend significantly more (and you'd have to to get a meaningfully better sound). There's a reason these are an industry standard.

I use these monitors to mix in my home studio. I've been around studios with Genelecs and love the sound, but mixing requires you to get down and dirty. My room is a little smaller so the BM6a's are the perfect size with real tight bass, a very clear mid range, and a clean high end. Overall I couldn't be happier with my choice.

I run a home-based music production, mixing and mastering studio. Before buying these I researched various stands heavily. These are excellent and leave nothing to be desired. Super solid build quality, easy to assemble in minutes, and they look classy. In particular they are very effective at decoupling the speakers from the stands, they sit at a perfect height for the mixing sweet spot, and I love the internal channels for weighing them down with shot or sand, and cable management. The ones I got are 36 and I'm 5'9. If you're taller you may need the larger 45 ones. My only small criticism is that the internal channels to run cables are a little small to squeeze through the power cables for studio monitors. It's a bit of a tight fit and I would have preferred a single large channel to 2 smaller channels. But all things considered they're killer.

This is my third pair of MDR headsets for use in a home recording studio, simply because they hold up in everyday use and are extremely reliable for mixing. Replacement ear pads are widely available from a number of vendors, and are easy to change. I use these along with a good set of reference speakers and they seem to match the frequency curve quite nicely. My brother, a retired LA radio announcer introduced me to these years ago and advised they are very widely used across the industry, in fact, preferred by many engineers and talent. The fact that Sony continues to make and sell them, speaks well for the product. The best part is you don't have to shell out several hundred to get quality and accuracy. I would easily recommend these to any content creator involved in monitoring or mixing. They are hard to beat.

Perfect adapter cable for when only balanced outs from the mixing desk is available.

I added a second microphone to my home voiceover studio, but needed to mount the new mic on the same end of the desk as the current mic (and the new mic was a Senn 460 shotgun) so the riser made it easier to have two mic booms mounted next to each other, and also put the shotgun mic up in the air more to angle down toward me. I pre-drilled the wood desk top, mounted the base with four good screws, and it was ready to go.
