Home Studio Record Mix Like The Pros

these Sennheiser HD280 Pros are what you need for your recording studio hands down! Amazing quality sound....i mix with these and i prefer these over my studio monitors...thats how good they are! good reproduction and accuracy of what your mix will sound like...whatever you hear thru these, is actually what the final product of whatever you record is....amazing sound rejection...you block everything out! my ONLY small complaint with these are the fixed cable it comes with...if you break it, or it becomes unservicable, it would be very difficult to remove and replace...yeah, sure, it comes with an option to but the replacement cable for this unit, but that takes away from being absolutely PERFECT...but even with that...5 stars...or more specifically 4 and a half (fix this B&H!!!!)...if you want to enter the professional realm of studio headphones, these are what you need!

I've been using protools for about 10 years in my recording studio and I think is the best software for record, edit and mix music. I got this version for working in my laptop and now I can work everywhere. The native plug ins woks very well and you can get others of your preference that run well too. For shure I will continue using protools in the future.

I use these headphones for more than just casual listening. I record tracks and mix instrumentals with these. Everyone says my mix is so clear and believed i use studio monitors. I have been using them almost everyday for about 7-8 months and they still work perfectly. I am going to buy some more expensive studio quality headphones but these held over well considering they only cost $. I am not an audiophile by any means but the i think there could be a little too much bass.

This all in one box is nothing short of amazing! I'm blown away by all that it can do. I've been recording for over 20 years, done it all, tascam cassette 4 track, 2/4/8 channel interfaces, laptops, home studios, pro studios. Now this thing comes along and sheesh, it can do it all! The preamps are nice and clean with plenty of gain, I set the record IN meters in the menu, the 5 mix outs are a god send. I recorded 8 channels at band practice for an hour and a half, got home and transferred to the computer, it was just 3gb. Immediate playback and ability to mix right away is great, sound quality is crystal clear from highs to lows, the reverb is nice for a adding a bit of depth to vocals/guitar/keys. I love that when you stop and hit record it creates a new folder and song automatically, no fumbling through menu's. The fader adjustments are a bit tricky at first when switching mixes as the faders don't work until you set them back to the light markers but next time I'll know. I was choosing between the L-12, the soundcraft 24 and the new Tascam mixer/recorder thats coming out, this is perfect in size for portability, I don't need the pad or phone connectivity. My only complaint is the power adapter wire is thin and flimsy, would have preferred the heftier 3 prong plugs, also the metal piece is a little hard to unplug from the machine, it takes a bit of force, I hope that connector doesn't fall apart one day. All in all this all in one unit is mind blowing in everything that it can do, I feel it's a laptop, multi-headphone amp, effect unit, mixer all in one small footprint, Zoom came through big on this product!

I use these monitors to mix in my home studio. I've been around studios with Genelecs and love the sound, but mixing requires you to get down and dirty. My room is a little smaller so the BM6a's are the perfect size with real tight bass, a very clear mid range, and a clean high end. Overall I couldn't be happier with my choice.
