[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great surge protector protects up 3550 Joules of protection, 500 clamping voltes and is UL listed. If you have high end electronics such as tv’s , home theater equipment or computer desk top you’ll need a good quality surge protector at lest 2000 joules or higher I’m using this for my tv and home theater equipment and Wi-Fi router. Also has protection for phone line and network. Surges come from outside when you have a power outage and the electric company restarts your service and from inside of you home, each time your AC turns on and off can cause a surge from inside your home. 5 |

I use the surge protector to power my guitar amplifiers and other accessories in my home recording studio. The APC P8VNTG Power Saving Surge Protector is a great product, potentially impacted by inferior quality. The product itself is attractive, well, as attractive as a power strip can really be. The black design melds into most home theater decors. I personally like the blue LED lighting, but they are VERY bright. So if you don't have the power strip hidden behind something, the light may be distracting. 5 |
